F un congratulations 3" x 3" note card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer and Paper Snips:
- card from Rich Razzleberry Cardstock at 3" x 6" and scored at 3"
- 2-3/4" square from Pool Party Cardstock
- feather image roughly cut from Just Add Color Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 1" x 4" from Whisper White Cardstock
Place the Pool Party square into the Polka Dot Basics Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on top of a Cutting Pad on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place another Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
Unlock the Banner Triple Punch. Insert the strip of white cardstock into the punch as far as it will go. Punch.
Place the punched strip of white cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat so the notch is on the left. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image when you stamp.
Mount the "Tickled Pink for you" sentiment from the Fabulous Flamingo Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Lovely Lipstick Marker. Stamp on the punched strip of cardstock so that the sentiment is as close to the notch as possible.
Adhere the sentiment strip to the upper right corner of the dry embossed Pool Party square. Trim off excess cardstock sticking off to the right side with Paper Snips.
Adhere the Pool Party square to the front of the Rich Razzleberry card.
Place the roughly cut out watering can image from the Just Add Color Designer Paper on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface.
Color the image with the Stampin' Blends Markers. The markers have a brush tip for coloring in larger areas and a fine tip for coloring in smaller areas. Use the light color first and add highlights with the dark color. Blend the colors by going over everything again with the light color.
Use the Light Rich Razzleberry Marker on the details and quill of the feather.
Use the Light Lovely Lipstick Marker on the rest of the feather.
Carefully cut out the feather close to the printed lines using Paper Snips.
Adhere the feather cut out to the front of the card at an angle so the top overlaps the bottom left of the sentiment banner a bit.
Cut a 4" piece of Rich Razzleberry 1/4" Velvet Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the base of the feather.
