Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Azure Afternoon Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Blueberry Bushel Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of fluffy white and dark blue clouds on lighter blue background design from Everyday Skies 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper, cut so the clourds are horizontal on the horizontal rectangle
- 3-1/2" square of brushstroke blue design from Everyday Skies 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
Adhere the large clouds rectangle of Everyday Skies Designer Paper to the center of the Blueberry Bushel rectangle and then to the front of the Azure Afternoon card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Everyday Arches Set, place the designer paper on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the arching "know you are loved" sentiment from the Everyday Arches Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Blueberry Bushel Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the brushstroke blue Everyday Skies Designer Paper square.
Pick out the arch die that measures 2-7/8" across from the Everyday Arches Dies. Put it on top of the sentiment stamped square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment is just inside the top of the arch. Run through the machine. Leave the die out.
Put the arch die back on top of the sentiment stamped arch cut out on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the flat bottom of the arch is about 1" below the bottom of the sentiment arch. Line the sides up as close as you can. Run through the machine. This should cut the bottom off the arch so it is only about 3-1/8" tall.
Mount the set of two flying birds image from the Everyday Arches Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Blueberry Bushel Ink Pad. Stamp it inside the arch of the words near the upper left side. Re-ink the stamp and stamp it again near the center of the bottom of the words. Clean the stamp using the Simply Shammy and/or Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and Stampin' Scrub, but leave it on the block.
Carefully re-ink only one of the birds on the set of two flying birds image on Block B by pressing it to the side of the open Blueberry Bushel Ink Pad. Stamp it between the two previously stamped groups of birds on the right side.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the White 1/2" Woven Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the bottom of the sentiment arch cut out so it is centered between the bottoms of the words and the bottom of the arch . Fold the ends of the ribbon over and secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the designer paper arch cut out. Adhere the arch cut out to the front of the card as shown on the left side so it is centered top to bottom and is about 1/2" from the left edge.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the White 1/2" Woven Ribbon.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon already on the front of the card and tie in place near the center using a half knot. Trim the ends.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 2 birds from the sheet of Adhesive-Backed Dragonflies & Birds making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the front of the card as shown.
