T his card is an advanced card that uses multiple techniques based on the Colourful Seasons Bundle and Stampin' Up! Embossing Paste and Masks. It includes the techniques of sponging, spritzing to create a water-colour effect, Baby Wipe stamping and colouring texture paste. These techniques are fun when used individually, and really pack a "wow" when used together.
Project Recipe
Add a small amount of Embossing paste to the Silicone mat provided. Add a drop of Soft Suede ink and mix with a palette knife
Place the brick design mask over the water colour paper provided. We are working in Landscape orientation so be sure to have your w/c paper sitting the correct way.
Hold the mask in place with Washi tape.
Apply the coloured embossing paste in a random manner so that it looks like a portion of a wall. Remove the mask, wipe clean with a baby wipe then place it in the bowl of water.
Allow this to dry for a few minutes.
Ink the solid leaf stamps from Colourful Seasons stamp set using the Beby Wipe technique. The colours used are Old Olive, Tangerine Tango, Rich Razzleberry and Daffodil Yellow. A couple of drops of re-inker are dropped onto the baby wipe and used as an ink pad.
Stamp 2 large leaves and 4 small leaves.
Gently sponge Old Olive ink over parts of the brick wall and spritz with water. The ink will run and give you a lovely water colour effect.
Using Old Olive ink, stamp the greeting on the thin wate-colour strip.
Adhere the greeting with Tear and Tape.
Cut the leaves out using the Big Shot and Colourful Season Thinlits. Use the leaf outline dies.
Adhere the leaves in a random fashion across the brick wall then mat the card front onto Old Olive card stock and again onto the card front.
(I've used an additional mat on the sample so you can see how some glimmer paper lifts the design to a new level.
