A
simple card that uses a paper mask & sponged background; stamped images from the Colourful Seasons Bundle and textured clouds created with embossing paste and Pattern Party Decorative Masks.
Use a Stampin Pierce Mat to get the best images when using photopolymer stamps.
Project Recipe
Secure the paper mask onto the extra card front, using Washi Tape. Then use a Stampin' Up! sponge to gently sponge Soft Sky ink into the opening. Use a light touch so the colour is soft, and make the upper half lighter than the lower half.
Stamp the flower images in Berry Burst ink that has been stamped off once.
Then stamp the branches in Early Espresso Ink.
I find it easier to line up if I stamp the flowers first.
Stamp the greeting in Archival Black ink.
Use the cloud mask from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks. Add a small amount of embossing paste using your choice of palette knife to smooth the paste through the mask.
Either hold the mask in place with one hand, or use Washi tape to hold in position.
NB: Clean off the mask with a baby wipe immediately and then place in water. If the paste dries on the mask or palette knife they will be ruined.
Let the embossing paste dry on the additional card front, then adhere it to the card base using either snail adhesive, Fast Fuse or Tear and Tape.
