P retty card for a friend using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Soft Succulent Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Evening Evergreen Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Soft Succulent Cardstock
- 3" square from Basic White Cardstock
- 1" x 5-1/8" of lines of gold vines on dark green background design from Ever Eden 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper, cut so the lines are vertical on the vertical strip
Mount the "Dear Friend How are you?" sentiment from the Eden's Garden Set on Block H. Use the side of the brush tip of the Evening Evergreen Marker to ink up only the words "Dear Friend." Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp the sentiment on the vertical Soft Succulent rectangle so it is about 1" from the bottom edge and 1/4" from the right edge.
Adhere the strip of Ever Eden Specialty Designer Paper to the left side of the stamped Soft Succulent rectangle so there is about 1/4" of green showing on the left edge.
Put a strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive along the long edge of the stamped designer paper/Soft Succulent rectangle just to the left of the left edge of the designer paper. Make sure the Tear & Tape goes along the entire edge by extending the Tear & Tape past the top and bottom edges. Use Paper Snips to trim off excess Tear & Tape on the top and bottom edges.
Open the Gilded Leafing Embellishment and pour at least some of it into a large container with a lid. Be careful, the leafing tends to go everywhere!
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strip. Place the cardstock/designer paper with Tear & Tape along the edge upside down into the Gilded Leafing Embellishment container and press down lightly.
Remove the cardstock/designer paper from the container and use the flat paintbrush to brush off excess leafing embellishment. Return the leafing embellishment to the container to use again later.
Adhere the stamped cardstock/designer paper rectangle with leafing applied to the center of the Evening Evergreen rectangle and then to the front of the Soft Succulent card.
Before stamping using the clear block as a stamp, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image.
Ink up Clear Block D by pressing it firmly onto the open Soft Succulent Ink Pad a couple of times. Then, press it to the center of the white square. Clean the block off using the Simply Shammy.
Mount the large spray of leaves and berries image from the Eden's Garden Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Evening Evergreen Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the green square you stamped with the clear block.
Adhere the stamped white square to the front of the card so it is just above the stamped sentiment and overlaps the right edge of the designer paper strip a bit.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the Evening Evergreen 3/8" Chevron Weave Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the lower right corner of the stamped white square.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel 6 different sized gems from a sheet of Gilded Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the front of the card as shown.
