Q uick and easy birthday card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Crushed Curry Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/2" of various wizards on white background design from Myths & Magic Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 1-1/2" x 3-3/4" from Daffodil Delight Cardstock
- 1-7/16" x 3-3/4" from Crushed Curry Cardstock
- 2-1/2" square from Crushed Curry Cardstock
Adhere the piece of Myths & Magic Specialty Designer Series Paper to the front of the Crushed Curry card so it is evenly spaced side to side.
Pick out the strip with stars thinlit from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits. Place the Daffodil Delight strip on a Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the strip with stars thinlit on top so it covers one short end of the strip and will cut out three stars . Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Use the Die Brush to remove the pieces. Keep all pieces! Repeat with the other side of the strip. Keep all pieces!
Mount the "Happy Birthday!" sentiment from the Eclectic Expressions Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Basic Gray Archival Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the strip between the star cut outs along the bottom edge.
Mount the bunch of scattered dots image from the Eclectic Expressions Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Crushed Curry Ink Pad. Stamp it over the sentiment on the right side. Re-ink and stamp it again over the sentiment in the center.
Adhere the stamped and cut out sentiment strip to the Crushed Curry strip so that Crushed Curry shows through the cut out stars.
Adhere the sentiment strip to the card front so it is centered side to side and about 1-1/2" down from the top.
Pick out the large open star thinlit from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits. Place the Crushed Curry square on a Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the star thinlit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Put some SNAIL on the back of the star cut out. Leave the star laying in front of you with the adhesive showing.
Wrap some Silver Metallic Thread around a couple of fingers a few times. Cut the thread loose from the spool. Adhere the loops of thread to the adhesive on the back of the star so they will stick out to the right side when the star is turned over.
Put some Stampin' Dimensionals on the back of the star. Remove the protective backings and adhere the star to the card front at an angle so it covers the top left side of the sentiment strip.
Carefully remove a silver star from a sheet of Metallic Enamel Shapes making sure you get the adhesive as well as the star. Adhere it to the center of the Crushed Curry star.
Use Mini Glue Dots to randomly adhere a couple of the small, Daffodil Delight star cut outs to the front of the card.
