his is a perfect size mug for gift giving. You can make (2) mugs out of an 8 1/2'" x 11" piece of paper.
80 lb. cardstock recommended for this project for stability.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock 5 1/2" x 8".
STEP 2.
In PORTRAIT MODE score at 1"
~~turn paper 180 degrees~~
score at 1 1/2"
STEP 3.
In LANDSCAPE MODE score at 1", 2", 3", 4", 5", 6", 7", 8"
STEP 4.
Use SCALLOP EDGE BORDER PUNCH on the landscape 1" side to create decorative edge.
In landscape mode, cut all score lines up to the 1 1/2" line. (see photo). Cut off small 1/2" box below where photo says TAB.
NOTE: When glueing you will need to apply pressure to each section until it is firmly attached.
Glue down scalloped edge.
Fold on all score lines and glue TAB to opposite end.
Glue cut tabs together to form the bottom of the mug.
Cut (8) pieces of Designer Series Paper 7/8" x 2". Attach these to the eight sides of the mug.
For the handle, cut cardstock to 1" x 4 1/2". You may choose to add DSP to the handle.
Start by glueing top of handle first, hold securely until dry, then round paper and glue other end to the base of the mug.
