Project Recipe
Base Card in Whisper White
Cut 1 - 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"
Card Layers
Cut 1 - 5 1/4" x 4" - Cherry Cobbler
Cut 1 - 3 3/4" x 5" - Tranquil Tide
Poinsettia
- Cut 1 - 2" x 2" piece of Real Red Card stock and using the "Eastern Beauty" die cuts Use the Star Shape one with the Flower looking center to cut out your Poinsettia. You will use both die cuts at the same time the flower shape one layered inside the star shape one. Now run it through your big shot. This will cut out your flower.
- The center of the flower uses the little star shaped die cut. I used some scrap gold foil paper to cut it out on the big shot and then used snail glue to glue it to the center of the flower.
- Take the outside die cut of the flower and cut a piece out of the gold foil to back your flower. Off set the gold layer with your Cherry Cobbler flower as show in the photo. Adhere them together with dimensionals.
I also placed a rhinestone in the center of the star of the flower. - Adhere the Poinsettia with gold foil backing to the bottom right corner of your card front using dimensionals
Card front Sentiment
- Using a whisper white piece of scrap card stock, I stamped it using Cherry Cobbler Ink with the Frilly square outline stamp in the Eastern Beauty Stamp Set.
- I then used the "Merry Christmas" Sentiment from the Hang Your Stocking Stamp Set. I used my embossing buddy over the paper and then inked the stamp with Versa Mark and with one of the points of the frilly outline square pointing upwards I center my stamp in between the other two points going left to right and stamped my sentiment. (See Photo)
- I then covered the Versa Mark with gold embossing powder and heated it using the heat tool.
- Now take the matching frilly square die cut and cut out the sentiment.
- I also cut out a 2nd frilly square on a scrap of gold foil paper. I then cut the square in half from one point to the other point. This allowed me to line up the sentiment square showing a shadow of gold foil behind it on the top and bottom of the sentiment layer. Adhere the gold foil to the whisper white layer using snail tape.
- Take the gold thread and wrapped it around your hand 5 times and cut it off and place a glue dot in the center of the threads to hold them together. Now place the gold thread behind the finished Sentiment layers and then use dimensional to adhere the Sentiment layers and gold thread to the card front.
Final Stamping on Card Front and Embellishments
- Using the little Star Burst stamp in the Eastern Beauty Stamp Set, ink it with Cherry Cobbler ink and I places three of these stars strategically on my card front (see photo).
- Put rhinestones in each of the star burst centers.
Inside of Card
- On the left inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment "May the Happiness of Family, The Joys of Friendship, and the Warmth of Love Surround You this Season" from the Holy Berry Happiness Stamp Set. Ink the stamp with Cherry Cobbler ink and center it on the top of page.
- Use the small star burst stamp from the Eastern Beauty stamp set to embellish the page where you sentiment is to your liking.
