Project Recipe
Flower Pot Instructions:
Cut Cajun Craze cardstock 8 1/2" x 4"
Score at 3 1/2" and 7"
Measure in 1/2" at both ends of the 3 1/2" score line.
Draw a faint line from the top cut edge to the 1/2" mark you just made. Repeat for mirrored side.
Draw a faint line from the paper edge of the 7" score line to the 1/2" mark you just made. Repeat for mirrored side.
Cut cardstock along each of these lines.
Insert Instructions:
Cut Soft Sky cardstock to 2 3/4" x 4 3/4"
Using a border punch, punch along the bottom edge of the flap created by the 7" score line.
To make the Bunnies:
Cut out the Whisper White bunny face and rump using the 1 1/4" circle punch.
Cut out the eyes and the nose using Basic Black cardstock and the smaller circles on the Cookie Cutter Builder punch. I accented the eyes by making a comma using a white gel pen.
The bow tie was made using the Cookie Cutter Builder punch.
Cut out the Whisper White bunny cheeks using the larger circles on the Cookie Cutter Builder punch. Lightly sponge Tuxedo Black Memento ink along the edges of the circles. I drew the bunny mouth detail using a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker.
Using the Daisy punch cut out the ears using Whisper White cardstock and the inner ears out of Powder Pink cardstock. Use two of the Whisper White petals from the Daisy punch to make the outer ears. Cut one of the Powder Pink petals in half to make the inner ears.
The front paws were cut from Whisper White cardstock and the 1/2" circle punch. The three toe lines were drawn using a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker.
Cut out the hind feet using the smaller petal from the Blossom Builder punch.
The Powder Pink paws were cut using the small raindrop from the Tree Builder punch and the small circle from the Cookie Cutter Builder punch.
The cottontail is a 1/2" pom-pom.
The flowers are from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set and the coordinating Bouquet Bunch Framelits.
The centers of the smaller flowers were accented with coordinating Tutti-Frutti adhesive backed sequins.
The "carrots" are cut from the 1/2" circle punch using Pumpkin Pie cardstock. I added the lines on the carrots with the Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker.
The stems on the carrots were made using the smallest bough from the Pretty Pines thinlits. After I cut the bough out, using the thinlit and my BigShot, I cut the bough into three sections and then adhered one stem to the back of each of the carrots.
Add the bunny head to the insert and the bunny rump to the flap on the flower pot.
Decorate both the insert and the flap with "carrots", flowers and vines.
Adhere the pot sides to each other using a tiny bead of glue along the outer edges of the flower pot. Make sure you don't add too much glue and prevent the insert from being able to be inserted into the flower pot. Sponge around the edges of the flower pot using Cajun Craze ink and a Stampin sponge.
Adhere the flap down with a small amount of adhesive.
The ribbon tied around the flower pot is 5/8" Crinkled Seam Binding in Night of Navy.
The Happy Easter sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp set and is stamped onto Lemon Lime Twist cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and then punch out using the Classic Label Punch.
