S how off your beautiful designer series paper and make little gift bags. Once you see how to make the bags you will be able to vary the sizes based on your gift sizes. These are pretty quick to make and personalize.
Project Recipe
Cut paper/dsp. You will need two pieces of paper that are the same size and same pattern. For this sample I used:
~ two pieces of 6"x6" dsp
Score:
Score both pieces of dsp the same.
On what will be the top of bag, make a score at 1/2". Then score on the other three sides of the paper at 1".
Cut dsp:
Cut first piece of dsp like figure one. You are cutting off the bottom right and bottom left corner squares.
Cut second piece of dsp as shown in figure #2. You are just cutting on the score line and then cutting a little wedge out of the two corners as shown.
Use a bone folder to crease the score lines of both pieces.
Using figure #2 piece, put adhesive of choice on back of the two tabs that were trimmed last step. Fold up the bottom center panel and glue the two tabbed corners onto the center bottom portion.
Fold over top portion (smaller edge) of each dsp and score with bone folder. On the side you want out on your bag, the narrower edge should be folded back so the other side of dsp is showing on the what will be the top on each half of bag.
Using Figure #1 dsp, put adhesive on the two side panels and the bottom panel on the inside. Glue this piece of dsp over the figure #2 dsp and adhere in place.
Use bone folder and burnish all areas where the glue is.
Use 1/8” hole punch to make holes for ribbon ends on side/top of bag. Thread ribbon from outside to inside of bag and knot. Trim ribbon to desired size. Repeat threading on opposite side of bag.
Punch 2 basic white and 1 gold foil tags using the Essential Tag Punch. Cut gold tag in half horizontally. Glue top half of foiled piece offset a little higher on the back of the basic white tag. Do the same with the bottom of gold tag. Glue the other basic white tag onto the back of the gold tag to cover the cut foil tag. Stamp sentiment onto front of tag using Versamark ink. Heat emboss with gold embossing powder.
Stamp "Warm Christmas Wishes" onto basic white card stock with versamark and heat emboss gold powder.
Use dies and cut out gold foil with intricate die and a basic white piece using the die that cuts out just the outside of the larger shape.
Punch a hole in tag for gold thread and attach tag to the bag on the ribbon handle. Stamp an image, if desired, onto some tissue paper to put inside the bag.
Adhere basic white shape onto bag front, then adhere intricate gold foil cutout on top of white.
Put dimensionals on back of "warm christmas wishes" circle and layer onto gold layer.
