Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Highland Heather Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Balmy Blue Cardstock
- 3-1/2" square of watercolored splashes of light blue and purple design from Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper
- 3/4" x 3" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2 pieces each 1-3/4" square from Whisper White Cardstock
Pick out the smooth circle die that cuts out a smooth circle that is 2-5/8" diameter from the Layering Circles Dies. Put it on top of the Balmy Blue rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered side to side on the horizontal rectangle and is about 1/2" from the top edge. Run through the tool. You are using the large rectangle with a circle cut out of the center for this project. Keep the circle cut out to use as a scrap for another project.
Insert the Balmy Blue rectangle with the circle cut out of the center into the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder so the words will run horizontally across the horizontal rectangle. Make sure the words will be right side up when the narrower portion over the circle cut out is at the top of the rectangle. Use the line drawn on the front of the embossing folder to help you line the cardstock up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine platform and run through the machine.
Adhere the square of Snowflake Splendor Designer Paper to the back of the dry embossed Balmy Blue rectangle so the pattern will show through the circle in the center of the rectangle.
As you are ready to stamp using the Dressed To Impress Photopolymer Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Unlock the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the Whisper White strip into the left side of the punch (the side of the punch with the more rounded label top) as far as it will go. Punch.
Mount the "hello fabulous!" sentiment from the Dressed To Impress Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Highland Heather Pad and stamp it on the punched white tag strip as close as possible to the punched end when the punched end is on the left.
Cut a 5" piece of the Snowflake Splendor 1/4" Ribbon.
Wrap the ribbon around the sentiment stamped strip as close as possible to the end of the sentiment and tie in place with a knot. Trim the ends.
Adhere the sentiment strip with ribbon attached to the upper right side of the Balmy Blue rectangle so it overlaps the upper right side of the circle cut out a bit. Trim off excess white cardstock on the right edge using Paper Snips.
Adhere the Balmy Blue rectangle with designer paper and sentiment strip attached to the front of the Highland Heather card.
Mount the high heel shoe image from the Dressed To Impress Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp it once on each of the Whisper White squares. Remember to re-ink the stamp with the Memento Pad each time.
Pick out the high heel shoe die from the All Dressed Up Dies. One at a time, put it on top of a stamped shoe image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the image is centered. Run through the tool. Repeat with the other shoe image.
Make sure you have some paper (Grid Paper works great) at your work space.to protect the work surface. The Stampin' Blends Markers will bleed through the cardstock that you are coloring so you need to protect your work surface.
Place the shoe cut outs on the work paper and color with the Stampin' Blends Markers. The markers have a brush tip for coloring in larger areas and a fine tip for coloring in smaller areas.
Use the Dark and Light Highland Heather Stampin' Blends to color in the heel and sides of the shoes.
Use the Dark Pool Party Stampin' Blends to color in the insert inside the shoes.
Use the Color Lifter Stampin' Blends as needed to remove excess color.
Use Stampin' Seal to adhere one colored shoe cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the lower left edge of the circle cut out.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the other colored shoe cut out to the front of the card so it slightly overlaps the first shoe cut out on the left side and slightly below.
Use the putty tip of the Take Your Pick Tool to pick out 5 Seaside Spray sequins of different sizes from the Woven Threads Sequin Assortment. Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere the sequins to the circle in the center of the card.
