I nteractive shaker card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and Window Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Polished Pink Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" from Fresh Freesia Cardstock
- 2-3/4" x 4" from Window Sheets
- 2 pieces each 1" x 2-3/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 1-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
Pick out the stitched, scalloped rectangle die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. Put it on top of the large, horizontal white rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the die is centered side to side and the top edge of the die is about 1-1/4" from the top of the cardstock. Run through the machine.
Note: You are using the large horizontal rectangle with the rectangle cut out of it for this project. Use the rectangle cut out for another project.
Insert the white rectangle with the scalloped rectangle cut out of the center into the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
As you are ready to stamp using the Dressed To Impress Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the dry embossed white rectangle with the scalloped rectangle cut out of it on top of the Fresh Freesia rectangle.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Dressed To Impress Set on an appropriate size block. Ink it up with the Polished Pink Ink Pad. Stamp it on the Fresh Freesia rectangle through the scalloped rectangle cut out so it is slightly closer to the right side of the rectangle cut out.
Remove the dry embossed white rectangle with the scalloped rectangle cut out of the center and set it aside for now.
Mount the grouping of little dots image from the Dressed To Impress Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Fresh Freesia Ink Pad. Stamp it randomly all around the stamped sentiment on the Fresh Freesia rectangle. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
Tip: Without adhering, lay the white rectangle back on top of the Fresh Freesia rectangle to see if you need to stamp more dots around the sentiment.
Turn the dry embossed white rectangle with the scalloped rectangle cut out of the center upside down on your work surface. Put Stampin' Seal all around the edges of the scalloped rectangle cut out. Adhere the Window Sheet rectangle to the back of the white rectangle so it completely covers the scalloped rectangle cut out.
Put strips of Foam Adhesive Strips all around the edges of the window cut out as close to the edges as possible. Add Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of the white rectangle as well. Leave the protective backings in place for now.
Use the putty tip of the Take Your Pick to pick out a bunch of Polished Pink hearts and a few Granny Apple Green circles from the Shaker Shapes container. Place them in a single layer on top of the stamped sentiment on the Fresh Freesia rectangle.
Remove the protective backings from the Foam Adhesive Strips and the Stampin' Dimensionals. Adhere the white rectangle with the Window Sheet covering the scalloped rectangle cut out to the Fresh Freesia rectangle so the sentiment is centered in the window. If needed, cut off excess Fresh Freesia cardstock sticking out past the white rectangle using Paper Snips Scissors.
Put Stampin' Seal on the back of the Fresh Freesia rectangle and adhere the shaker card front to the front of the Polished Pink card.
Mount the lipstick image from the Dressed To Impress Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp it onto the two long, thin strips of white cardstock, remembering to re-ink the stamp each time.
Pick out the lipstick die from the All Dressed Up Dies. One at a time, put it on top of a stamped lipstick image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the image is centered in the die. Run through the machine. Repeat so you have cut out both lipstick images.
Make sure you have some paper (Grid Paper works great) at your work space.to protect the work surface. The Stampin' Blends will bleed through the cardstock that you are coloring so you need to protect your work surface.
Place the stamped and cut out lipsticks on the Grid Paper and start coloring with the Stampin' Blends. The markers have a brush tip for coloring in larger areas and a fine tip for coloring in smaller areas. Work on one area at a time so the inks will be wet and will blend easier.
Use the Dark and Light Polished Pink Stampin' Blends to color in one of the lipstick tube center bands and the lipstick itself.
Use the Dark and Light Fresh Freesia Stampin' Blends to color in the other lipstick tube center band and the lipstick itself.
Use the Dark and Light Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends to color in the rest of the lipstick barrels.
Use the Color Lifter Stampin' Blends to remove any excess color as needed..
Adhere the colored lipstick cut outs to the front of the card so they overlap each other a bit and overlap the left side of the shaker window as shown.
Mount the single flower with leaves image from the Dressed To Impress Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small white rectangle.
Pick out the matching single flower with leaves die from the All Dressed Up Dies. Put it on top of the flower image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the image is centered in the die. Run through the machine.

Use the Dark and Light Polished Pink Blends to color in the rest of the flower.
Use the Dark and Light Granny Apple Green Blends to color in the leaves and stem.
Adhere the colored flower and leaves cut out to the upper right corner of the shaker window.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the Polished Pink 3/8" Open Weave Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card at a slight angle where the two lipstick tubes meet on the bottom left side.
