Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a cutting and scoring tool:
- card from Pool Party Cardstock at 4-1/4" x 11" and scored at 2-3/4" and 5-1/2"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2 pieces each 2-1/2" x 4" of green and blue leaves and orange dots on dark blue background design from Dinoroar Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/2" square from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 2" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2" x 2-1/4" from Crushed Curry Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 3-1/2" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1" x 3-1/2" from Pretty Peacock Cardstock
- 7/8" x 3-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Dino Days Photopolymer Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the “I love you this much...” sentiment from the Dino Days Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Pretty Peacock Ink Pad. Stamp on the 7/8" x 3-1/4" white strip near the right end.
Adhere the stamped white sentiment strip to the strip of Pretty Peacock.
Fold the card so the 2-3/4" score line is on the left side as a mountain fold and the 5-1/2" score line is a valley fold.
Adhere the matted sentiment strip to the 2-3/4" flap so the left end of the sentiment strip is on the flap and the left edge of the sentiment is just over the edge of the flap and the bottom of the strip is about 3/4" from the bottom of the card base. Use a couple of strips of Tear & Tape to adhere the left end of the sentiment strip to the flap. Make sure you do NOT adhere the right end of the sentiment strip down.
Adhere the pieces of Dinoroar Designer Paper to the two small sections of the card base. The piece of paper on the left flap will cover the end of the sentiment strip.
Mount the two footprints image from the Dino Days Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it across the long bottom edge of the 4" x 5-1/4" white rectangle. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
Mount the pterodactyl image from the Dino Days Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Pretty Peacock Ink Pad. Stamp it in the upper right corner of the large white rectangle.
Mount the "happy birthday" sentiment from the Itty Bitty Greetings Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Pool Party Ink Pad. Stamp it in the upper left corner of the large white rectangle.
Adhere the stamped large white rectangle to the inside of the Pool Party card on the large flap.
Mount the t-rex image from the Dino Days Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white square.
Pick out the t-rex die from the Dino Dies. Put it on top of the stamped t-rex image on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the t-rex image is centered. Run through the tool.
Pick out the small die that cuts out scales from the Dino Dies. Put it on top of the stamped t-rex image on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the scales are centered over the center of the t-rex. Run through the tool. This will just cut some scales in the dinosaur's body.
Mount the curve of spikes image from the Dino Days Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Pretty Peacock Ink Pad. Stamp onto the small white rectangle.
Pick out the curve of spikes die from the Dino Dies. Put it on top of the stamped curved spikes image on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the spikes image is centered. Run through the tool.
Put SNAIL along the back of the t-rex cut out along his back and tail curve. Adhere the spikes cut out to the back of the t-rex cut out so they will show.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals and Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the t-rex to the right edge of the left flap so it overhangs the right edge a bit and overlaps the left edge of the sentiment strip where it disappears under the designer paper. Make sure the t-rex does not stick to the central flap.
Mount the brontosaurus image from the Dino Days Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Pool Party Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 2-1/4" x 3-1/2" white rectangle.
Mount the bunch of little circles image from the Dino Days Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Pretty Peacock Ink Pad. Stamp it on the back of the previously stamped brontosaurus.
Pick out the brontosaurus die from the Dino Dies. Put it on top of the stamped brontosaurus image on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the brontosaurus image is centered. Run through the tool.
Adhere the brontosaurus cut out to the center panel so the bottom of the dinosaur is covered by the sentiment strip.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick tool to pick up 2 spiky green leaf shapes from the Dinoroar Enamel Shapes being sure to get adhesive as well. Adhere one to the beak of the pterodactyl and one hanging from the mouth of the brontosaurus across his neck.
