B right, colorful treat envelopes made with retiring Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- 5" square of 2018-2020 In Color 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
- 2" x 4" from Glossy White Cardstock
- scrap of 2018-2020 In Color 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
Follow the directions printed on the Envelope Punch Board for making an envelope that will hold a 2-1/2" x 3" card from the 5" square of 2018-2020 In Color Designer Series Paper.
Use the corner rounder punch on the Envelope Punch Board to round the tips of the flaps.
Fold the envelope closed.
Tip: You can use the scoring tool from the Envelope Punch Board like a Bone Folder to get sharp fold lines.
Use small pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive to hold the one long side flap to the two short side flaps to make the envelope. Make sure the adhesive pieces you use are small so they don't extend past where the flaps overlap.
Tuck your treat inside the open envelope.
Place the piece of Glossy Cardstock glossy side up on top of Grid Paper to protect your work surface.
One at a time, rub a Sponge Dauber across an open Ink Pad to pick up some ink. Rub the inky Sponge Dauber onto the Glossy Cardstock to make either big dots of color or stripes. Make sure to use a different dauber for each color. Let the colors overlap some. Wipe off excess ink using a tissue.
Tip: I just clean my daubers when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Detailed With Love Set on an appropriately sized block. Ink it up with the StazOn Ink Pad. Stamp the sentiment on the colored glossy cardstock leaving room to punch in out. Give the ink time to dry on the glossy cardstock or it will smear.
Unlock the 1-3/4" Circle Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Unlock the small, double punch from the Bitty Blooms Punch Pack. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, carefully slide the top of the sentiment circle punch out into the punch so ONLY the circle punching area is centered at the top of the circle. Punch.
Cut a 12" piece of 1/8" Grosgrain Ribbon.
Wrap the ribbon around the center of the envelope with the treat inside so the two loose ends are near the center of the front of the envelope. Slide the sentiment circle tag onto the right side of the ribbon. Tie the ribbon in place using a knot. Trim the ends.
Pick out a solid candy die from the Jar of Sweets Dies. Place the scrap of 2018-2020 In Color Designer Paper on the Cutting Pad on the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the candy die on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Use the Paper-Piercing Tool and/or Big Shot Die Brush to remove the pieces.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the candy cut out to the bottom of the sentiment circle tag.
