Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, vellum designer paper, and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Daffodil Delight Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Granny Apple Green Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2" x 5-1/4" of scattered yellow and blue flowers and green leaves on white vellum design from Floral & Gingham Vellum 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 2" x 4" from Granny Apple Green Cardstock
- 2" x 4" from Daffodil Delight Cardstock
- 2 pieces each 1-7/8" x 3-7/8" from Adhesive Sheets
- 3/4" x 3-1/2" from Daffodil Delight Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Delightful Wishes Set, place the cardstock or designer vellum paper on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the more solid group of multiple flowers image from the Delightful Wishes Set on Block D. Ink it up with the VersaMark Ink Pad. Stamp it on the right side of the vertical white rectangle so it is about 5/8" from the top and right edges.
Pull out the Daffodil Delight pastel stick from the Soft Pastels Assortment. Lightly rub one end of the stick over the VersaMark stamped flowers. Try not to get yellow on the tiny leaves at the top of the bunch. Tap and blow off excess dust.
Mount the stems image from the Delightful Wishes Set on Block H. Ink it up with the VersaMark Ink Pad. Stamp it over the stamped and pastel rubbed flowers to create the stems between the flowers.
Mount the group of small leaves image from the Delightful Wishes Set on Block B. Ink it up with the VersaMark Ink Pad. Stamp it over the stamped and pastel rubbed flowers to create additional leaves between the flowers.
Pull out the Granny Apple Green pastel stick from the Soft Pastels Assortment. Lightly rub one end of the stick over the VersaMark stamped stems and leaves. Tap and blow off excess dust.
Use a tissue to blend the colors and remove excess dust. Add more color using the pastel sticks as desired and blend it in as well.
Mount the more detailed group of multiple flowers image from the Delightful Wishes Set on Block D. Ink it up with the VersaMark Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of the previously stamped and pastel covered flowers.
Lay the VersaMark stamped rectangle in the center of the Powder Pal included in the Embossing Additions Tool Kit. Sprinkle on some white powder from the Basics Wow! Embossing Powder so it covers the entire image. Tap off excess powder. Return the excess powder to the container to use again later.
Heat the powder with the Heat Tool on the highest setting until it is completely melted (shiny and smooth).
Tip: Use the Crafting Tweezers included in the Embossing Additions Tool Kit to hold the cardstock while you are heating it so you don't burn your fingers.
Use your fingers to tear about 1/4" off one long edge of the Floral & Gingham Vellum Specialty Designer Paper strip.
Put a thin line of Multipurpose Liquid Glue down the left edge of the stamped, pastel covered, and heat embossed white rectangle. Adhere the torn piece of vellum to the left side of the rectangle so the torn edge is on the right. Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off excess vellum on the top, left, and bottom edges as needed.
Adhere the white rectangle with vellum attached to the center of the large Granny Apple Green rectangle.
Cut a 5-3/4" piece of the Daffodil Delight 1/8" Satin Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the left side of the matted white/vellum rectangle so it is about 1/8" from the left edge . Fold the ends of the ribbon over and secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the Granny Apple Green rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the Daffodil Delight card.
Pick out the long, skinny label die from the Delightful Wishes Dies. Put it on top of the thin Daffodil Delight strip on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Mount one of the shorter, thin sentiments from the Delightful Wishes Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Granny Apple Green Ink Pad. Stamp it carefully on the thin, Daffodil Delight label cut out so it is closer to the left edge.
Peel the protective backing off of one of the Adhesive Sheets rectangles. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets rectangle to one side of the Granny Apple Green rectangle. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the thicker, less detailed "wishing" word die from the Delightful Wishes Dies. Put it on top of the Granny Apple Green rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the Granny Apple Green side is face up. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Peel the protective backing off of the remaining Adhesive Sheets rectangle. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets rectangle to one side of the Daffodil Delight rectangle. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the thinner, more detailed "wishing" word die from the Delightful Wishes Dies. Put it on top of the Daffodil Delight rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the Daffodil Delight (yellow) side is face up. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the back of the thinner, yellow "wishing" word cut out. Adhere it over the top of the thicker, green "wishing" word cut out.
Lay the label strip and layered "wishing" word cut out on the card front to figure out spacing and placement along the bottom.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the thin label strip in place.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the back of the layered "wishing" word cut out. Adhere it in place so the "g" at the end of the word hangs over the right end of the thin label strip if possible.
Cut a 3" piece of the Daffodil Delight 1/8" Satin Ribbon.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon already on the card front near the top. Tie in place with a half knot. Trim the ends.
Put a tiny dot of Multipurpose Liquid Glue in the upper right corner of the card front.
Use the putty tip of the Take Your Pick to pick out a bee trinket from the Tiny Bee Trinkets. Adhere it to the drop of liquid glue at a slight angle.
