F all themed thank you card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Pineapple Punch Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 2-3/8" x 4-1/4" from Pumpkin Pie Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 4-1/4" from Pineapple Punch Cardstock
- 3" x 6" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 4" from Old Olive Cardstock
- 1" x 4-1/2" from Whisper Whte Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Daisy Delight Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of paper (Grid Paper works great) on top of the mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the small, outline daisy flower image from the Daisy Delight Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Pineapple Punch Ink Pad and stamp it randomly all over the front of the Pineapple Punch card. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Rotate the direction of the stamp every so often. Let some of the images go off the edges of the card front.
Place the Buffalo Check background stamp rubber side up on Grid Paper on your work surface. Ink up the stamp by pouncing or rubbing the Pumpkin Pie Ink Pad all over it. Leave the inked up stamp face up on your work surface. Carefully place the Pineapple Punch rectangle on the stamp. Fold the Grid Paper up and over the top of everything and rub firmly all over. Using the Grid Paper protects your hands from getting ink on them.
Tip: I just clean my background stamps by running them under water until the water runs clear. Then, I let them air dry.
Use a ruler and the brush tip of the Old Olive Marker to add lines in between all the plaid lines on the plaid stamped rectangle.
Adhere the plaid stamped rectangle to the Pumpkin Pie rectangle and then to the front of the stamped Pineapple Punch card so the left edge is about 1/4" from the left edge of the card.
Mount the large daisy image from the Daisy Delight Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Pumpkin Pie Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the larger strip of Whisper White cardstock. Re-ink the stamp and stamp it again on the other end of the white strip.
Tip: To make it easier to punch out the daisy images, make sure that one petal is pointing straight down.
Unlock the Banner Triple Punch. Slide one end of the thin strip of Whisper White cardstock into the punch as far as it will go. Punch.
Mount the "thank you" sentiment from the Daisy Delight Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Pineapple Punch Ink Pad. Stamp it on the punched strip of white as close to the notch as possible so the notch is on the right side.
Adhere the punched, stamped sentiment strip to the card front so that the notch ends almost touch the right side of the card and the bottom of the strip is about 1" from the bottom of the card.
Unlock the Daisy Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide one of the stamped daisy images into the punch. Carefully line up the image so it is centered in the punching area. Punch. Repeat with the other daisy image.
Tip: Before removing the cardstock from the punch, slide a piece of copy paper into the punch. Then, slide the square of cardstock and the copy paper out at the same time. This will keep the pointy edges of the punched piece from catching on the punch and tearing.
Place the punched out daisy images on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. Use the Dark Pineapple Punch Stampin' Blends to completely color in the petals and the edges of the flower centers on both daisies.
Mount the solid daisy center image from the Daisy Delight Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Pineapple Punch Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of one of the stamped and colored daisies.
Mount the detailed daisy center image from the Daisy Delight Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Pumpkin Pie Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center stamped and colored daisy on top of the yellow center you just stamped.
Adhere the two daisy punch outs on top of each other so they are slightly offset to make one big, full daisy. Make sure the daisy with the stamped center is on top.
Use a Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the layered daisy flower to the front of the card so it overlaps the left edge of the plaid rectangle just a bit and covers the left end of the sentiment banner.
Unlock the Leaf Punch. Slide one end of the Old Olive strip into the punch. Punch. Slide the cardstock over and punch again so you have two leaf punch outs.
Adhere the leaf punch outs to the card front so the stems tuck under the daisy flower.
Carefully peel up a small, frosted droplet from a sheet of Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it a little offset to the center of the daisy flower.
