T he March Swap A Holics swap was a color challenge. You could use any of the colors listed on the post. I chose to use quite a few for mine. I blended the Old olive and Pear Pizzazz background and then used other colors for the flowers. I'm really pleased how it turned out. You can check my YouTube channel for the video, I plan to post a quick tutorial there. I also have instructions here as well.
Project Recipe
The base is basic white at 8 1/2 x 5 1/2
On top of that is another layer of white that was embossed with the macrame folder. It measures 4 1/4 x 5 1/2
There is a layer on top of that of evening evergreen that measures 3 1/4 x 4 1/2"
Next use your blending brush start filling a basic white piece measuring 3 1/8 x 4 3/8 with ink. I used old olive first, working from the bottom up. I blended about a third of the way and then switched to pear pizzaz. I then just went back and forth between the two until I had blended the line of color change pretty evenly.
After it's inked I ran it thru the die cut and emboss machine with the stiched greenery die.
Last step here is to adhere it to the evening evergreen layer and place it on the front of the card.
To finish the card I stamped different flowers from the Dahlia Days stamp set and cut them out. I also used the bough punch from the current mini catalog and placed that greenery around the flowers.
I then stamped a sentiment and popped it up on the front and added a few matte decorative dots
