T his is a sunny birthday card that I am sure someone would love to receive. When you have a busy print, adding a solid color mat is an easy way to break up the print.
Project Recipe
Card Base: Cut Daffodil Delight 8 ½ X 11 paper in half width wise. You now have two pieces 8 ½ X 5 ½ . Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.
Card Mat: Cut floral print paper 4 X 5 1/4
Using Stitched rectangles cut a mat from Daffodil Delight, I used the rectangle that is 4 1/2" long.
Use the next smallest size rectangle, to die cut the center from the print paper card front. (see picture)
Attach the outside border of the print paper to card base.. Attach Daffodil Delight mat over the opening in the card front. Attach print paper rectangle cut from center of card front, over the Daffodil Delight mat.
From Whisper White paper die cut label from All Dressed Up dies. Stamp sentiment on label with Blackberry ink.
Cut 4 1/2" of Daffodil Delight ribbon. Attach ribbon to card front over smallest rectangle.
Attach stamped sentiment label with Stampin Dimensionals.
That's it; you have finished your card front. Wasn't that easy? Cut a piece of 4 X 5 1/4 Whisper White paper to stamp a sentiment for inside of your card or to write a note in your card. Attach this white piece inside your card.
