Project Recipe
Cut paper-
1. Designer series paper (DSP)- 5 1/2” x 12”, score at 4” and 8”.
2. Cardstock color #1-Black or?, 4 1/4” x 5 1/2”
3. Cardstock color #2- insert piece- 3 3/4” x 4 3/4”
Mat layer that goes on color #1 is- 4 1/8” x 5 3/8”
1. Crease score lines on designer series paper (dsp) using a bone folder. Place paper with short edge up. The pattern facing up will be inside. Fold bottom portion up and top portion down. Make sure any pattern is going the right direction and adjust, if needed.
2. On bottom panel, cut from top right corner to bottom left corner as shown. Save the part cut off for pocket insert.
Put tear n tape along left edge of cut panel. Remove liner and fold up adhering this panel to center panel to make an angled pocket.
Make insert- Cut a strip off of the cut away portion of dsp. Cut it to 1/2” x 3 5/8”. Adhere it using any adhesive to the right side of insert cardstock (3 3/4” x 4 3/4”).
Glue the two larger colored card stock pieces together to make a mat with narrow borders. Then glue the back of the center dsp section to these two mats.
Decorate the front of card as desired. You can make a focal point by cutting out a portion from the dsp, you could stamp a sentiment on a shape and put ribbon behind it etc. See samples for ideas. Sentiment can be stamped on insert.
Decorate your envelope as desired. Use dsp scraps, stamp light images etc.
No naked envelopes!
