F un treat boxes perfect for Halloween using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- 2-1/4" x 3-3/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 3" of multicolored stripes or multicolored dots on white background design from Cute Halloween 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper, if cutting stripes, be sure the stripes are horizontal on the horizontal rectangle
- 1" x 3" from Basic White Cardstock
Take one top box piece and one bottom box piece from the package of Tombstone Treat Boxes. Fold on all score lines and fold the box pieces together. Remove the protective backing on the adhesive strips to hold the boxes together.
Fill the slightly smaller bottom box piece with treats and put the slightly larger top box piece on the box.
Pick out the bumpy ended label die that cuts out a label that is 1-7/8" x 3-3/8" from the Seasonal Labels Dies. Put it on top of the large white rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
As you are ready to stamp using the Cutest Halloween Set or Textures & Frames Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the solid circle image from the Textures & Frames Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Flirty Flamingo (for the cat box), Highland Heather (for the ghost and skull boxes), Crushed Curry (for the candy corn box), or Pumpkin Pie (for the jack o'lantern box) Ink Pad. Stamp it at the top of the vertical label cut out in the center. If you are making multiples and using different colors for the circles, remember to clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy between colors.
For the cat box, mount the outline cat head image from the Cutest Halloween Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Highland Heather Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Flirty Flamingo circle.
Mount the solid, set of two cat ears image from the Cutest Halloween Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Highland Heather Ink Pad. Stamp the image inside the outlined ears on the previously stamped cat head image.
Mount the cat face image from the Cutest Halloween Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Highland Heather Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the previously stamped cat head image.
For the ghost box, mount the outline ghost image from the Cutest Halloween Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Jet Black StazOn Ink Pad or Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it on the left edge of the Highland Heather circle.
Mount the ghost face and arms image from the Cutest Halloween Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Jet Black StazOn Ink Pad or Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it inside the ghost outline image.
Mount the spider image from the Cutest Halloween Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Jet Black StazOn Ink Pad or Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it at a slight angle on the bottom right side of the ghost image.
For the candy corn box, mount the set of three candy corn pieces image from the Cutest Halloween Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Pumpkin Pie Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Crushed Curry circle.
Mount the tiny, single candy corn piece image from the Cutest Halloween Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Pumpkin Pie Ink Pad. Stamp it a couple of times around the previously stamped candy corn pieces remembering to re-ink the stamp each time.
For the skull box, mount the outline skull image from the Cutest Halloween Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Jet Black StazOn Ink Pad or Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Highland Heather circle.
Mount the skull face image of your choice from the Cutest Halloween Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Jet Black StazOn Ink Pad or Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it inside the skull outline image.
Mount the spider image from the Cutest Halloween Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Jet Black StazOn Ink Pad or Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it at a slight angle on the bottom left side of the skull image.
For the jack o 'lantern box, mount the outline pumpkin image from the Cutest Halloween Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Pumpkin Pie circle.
Mount the jack o'lantern face image from the Cutest Halloween Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Jet Black StazOn Ink Pad or Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it inside the pumpkin outline image.
Mount the tiny, outline leaf image from the Cutest Halloween Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it at the base of the stem on the top of the pumpkin image.
Use the brush tip of the Pear Pizzazz Stampin' Write Marker to color in the stem of the pumpkin.
Adhere the stamped, large label cut out to the top of the box lid in the center.
Pick out the bumpy ended label die that cuts out a label that is 1-5/16 x 2-3/4" from the Seasonal Labels Dies. Put it on top of the designer paper rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. If using the striped paper, make sure the stripes are straight under the die. Run through the machine.
Adhere the designer paper label cut out to the top of the box lid horizontally so it overlaps the bottom of the stamped circle image just a bit and the three bumps at the bottom of the stamped white label show at the bottom of the designer paper label.
Mount the "treat yourself" or "hey, boo!" sentiment from the Cutest Halloween Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Pumpkin Pie or Highland Heather Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small white rectangle. If you are making multiples and using different colors for the circles, remember to clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy between colors.
Pick out the bumpy ended label die that cuts out a label that is 1/2" x 2-1/4" from the Seasonal Labels Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment is centered in the die. Run through the machine.
Adhere the sentiment label cut out to the center of the designer paper label cut out on the box top.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up two Highland Heather (light purple) pearls from the sheet of Pastel Pearls making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the ends of the sentiment label cut out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up one large and two small sequins in different colors from the sheet of Cute Stars Adhesive-Backed Sequins making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the lid of the box as shown.
Cut an 8" piece of the black/white Baker's Twine from the Playful Pets Trim Combo Pack.
Tie a small bow in the center of the twine. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the twine bow to the top of the box lid so it is centered along the bottom edge of the designer paper label cut out.
