Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and Foil Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- 3 pieces each 3-1/4" square from Whisper White Thick Cardstock
- 2 pieces each 1-1/2" x 2-3/4" from Real Red Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 2-3/4" from Silver Foil Sheets
- 2 pieces each 1" x 2-1/2" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2 pieces each 1" x 2-1/2" from Real Red Cardstock
- 1" x 2" piece from Real Red Cardstock
Pick out the top of the snowglobe die from the Snow Globe Scenes Dies and the smooth circle die from the Layering Circles Dies that cuts out a smooth circle that is 2-15/16" diameter. Put both dies on top of one of the squares of Whisper White Thick Cardstock on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the top of the snowglobe die is centered in the smooth circle die. Run through the tool. Keep the thin circle with a flat interior bottom piece.
Use Paper Snips to cut a snip in the flat bottom area of the thin circle cut out.
Peel the protective backing off the FRONT of the rim around the Snow Globe Shaker Dome. Adhere the thin circle with the flat interior bottom over the top of the shaker dome. Make sure the flat interior bottom of the thin circle matches up with the flat bottom of the Shaker Dome. Don't worry if the cut edges don't quite meet up, they will be covered in a later step.
Tip: I had a tiny bit of plastic with adhesive sticking out around the edges of the thin circle of cardstock. I just used scissors to trim off the excess.
Find the smooth circle die from the Layering Circles Dies that cuts out a smooth circle that is 2-15/16" diameter. One at a time, put it on top of one of the remaining squares of Whisper White Thick Cardstock on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool. You should have two more circles of thick white cardstock.
As you are ready to stamp using the Cup Of Christmas Photopolymer Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "sweet Christmas wishes" sentiment from the Cup Of Christmas Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of one of the thick white circles about 3/4" from the top.
Pick out the more solid candy cane die from the Cup Of Cheer Dies. Put it on top of one of the 1" x 2-1/2" strips of Whisper White Cardstock on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces. Repeat with the other 1" x 2-1/2" white strip.
Pick out the more open, striped candy cane die from the Cup Of Cheer Dies. Put it on top of one of the 1" x 2-1/2" strips of Real Red Cardstock on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces. Repeat with the other 1" x 2-1/2" Real Red strip.
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the striped, Real Red candy canes over the top of the solid, white candy canes. Make sure that the two candy canes face in opposite directions.
Use Paper Snips to cut about 3/4" off the bottom of both candy canes.
Pick out the set of 3 dots die from the Cup Of Cheer Dies. Put it on top of one end of the1" x 2" piece of Real Red Cardstock on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces. Repeat on the other end of the strip. You should have 6 small red circles.
Use the White Chalk Marker to draw in slightly curved lines on both sides of each of the six red dots to make them look like peppermint candies.
Rub the inside of a Snow Globe Shaker Dome with the Embossing Buddy to help remove some of the static. Then, wipe out any powder from the Embossing Buddy using a clean, dry paper towel.
Put the sentiment stamped thick white circle on your work surface in front of you. Put the candy canes and peppermint candy circles on top of the sentiment circle in the center. Add a few of the From My Heart Faceted Gems. Put a pinch of the Snowflake Sequins and the Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter on top as well.
Peel the protective backing off the BACK of the rim of the Snow Globe Shaker Dome. Adhere the shaker dome to the front of the stamped sentiment circle with all the fillings in place. Press firmly along the edges of the snow globe to make a tight seal so none of the sequins or glitter can escape.
Cut a 7" piece of Real Red 1/8" Curly Ribbon.
Fold the ribbon in half. Place the loose ends of the ribbon on the back of the shaker dome so the loop sticks out at the top. Use a small piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the ribbon in place.
Adhere the remaining thick white circle to the back of the shaker dome using SNAIL and the Tear & Tape holding the ribbon in place. This covers the ends of the ribbon hanging loop and gives you a place to write a message.
Pick out the open snow globe base die from the Snow Globe Scenes Dies. Put it on top of one of the 1-1/2" x 2-3/4" Real Red rectangles on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool. Repeat with the other 1-1/2" x 2-3/4" Real Red rectangle.
Pick out the filigree snow globe base die from the Snow Globe Scenes Dies. Put it on top of the Silver Foil Sheet rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Mulitpurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the silver foil filigree snowglobe base cut out to the top of one of the Real Red snowglobe base cut outs.
Put a strip of Tear & Tape across the bottom of the snowglobe shaker dome on the front side. Adhere the layered snowglobe base to it so it butts up to the bottom of the shaker dome.
Adhere the other red snowglobe base to the back of the base.
Cut an 8" piece of Real Red 1/8" Curly Ribbon.
Tie a small bow in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the bow to the lower right side of the shaker dome at a slight angle.
