B right and pretty Christmas card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Granny Apple Green Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 2-1/4" x 2-1/2" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2" x 2-1/4" from Granny Apple Green Cardstock
- 2" x 3-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Cup Of Christmas Photopolymer Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of paper (Grid Paper works great) on top of the mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the line of holly leaves image from the Cup of Christmas Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Granny Apple Green Ink Pad. Stamp it across the top of the front of the Granny Apple Green card in a straight line about 1/4" from the top. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Let some of the images go off the edges on the right and left sides. Stamp another line across the bottom about 1/4" from the bottom.
Pick out the open cup die with the handle on the right side from the Cup Of Cheer Dies. Put it on top of the 2-1/4" x 2-1/2" white rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool.
Pick out the poinsettia cup die from the Cup Of Cheer Dies. Put it on top of the Granny Apple Green rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the poinsettia cup cut out on the top of the white cup cut out to get an idea of where the flower is located. Remove the poinsettia cup cut out.
Rub a Sponge Dauber across the open Real Red Ink Pad to get it inky. Then, rub a bit onto the white cup cut out where the flower will be. Get more ink on the Sponge Dauber as needed.
Tip: I just clean my Sponge Daubers when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the poinsettia cup cut out over the top of the white cup cut out.
Adhere the colored and layered cup cut out to the front of the card so it is about 1" from top and about 1/2" from the right side.
Mount the "comfort & joy" sentiment from the Cup Of Christmas Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Granny Apple Green Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 2" x 3-1/4" white strip near one end. Leave room to punch out the sentiment.
Unlock the 1-1/2" Circle Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Use the fine tip of the Real Red Marker to color in the berries on the holly on the sentiment punch out.
Use the side of the brush tip of the Real Red Marker to color the edges of the sentiment circle punch out or roll the circle punch out across the open Real Red Ink Pad.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the colored sentiment circle punch out to the front of the card so it overlaps the lower left side of the cup cut out just a bit.
Cut a 5" piece of Real Red 1" Ruched Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card so it is in the space where the sentiment circle punch out and cup cut out meet.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick tool to pick up a large pearl from a sheet of Pearl Basic Jewels being sure to get the adhesive as well. Adhere it to the center of the flower on the cup cut out.
