P retty fall card to say hello using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and Chicken Wire Elements pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer and Paper Snips:
- card from Gray Granite Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 3-1/8" x 4-1/8" from Old Olive Cardstock
- 3" x 4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- scrap of Pacific Point Cardstock at least 2" long
- piece of Chicken Wire Elements that is 2 links wide by 12 links long
As you are ready to stamp using the Country Home and Sitting Pretty Sets, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the pitcher image from the Country Home Set on Block C. Ink it up with the StazOn Ink Pad. Stamp it on the left side of the white rectangle about 1/4" from the bottom and about 3/4" from the left side.
Scribble some color around the edges inside the stamped pitcher image using the Pacific Point Watercolor Pencil.
Use the Blender Pen to smooth out the lines and draw color lightly toward the center of the pitcher.
Tip: Stroke the Blender Pen in one direction only. If you go back and forth, then the cardstock could start to pill and tear. Scribble on Grid Paper to clean the tip of the Blender Pen until no more color is coming off.
Mount the top of the plant image from the Sitting Pretty Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it on top of the pitcher so it looks like the plant is growing out of the pitcher. WITHOUT re-inking, shift the stamp slightly and stamp again. Re-ink the stamp and repeat a couple of times.
Mount the "You Are the Happy..." sentiment from the Country Home Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it to the right of the pitcher image.
Adhere the stamped and colored white cardstock to the Old Olive rectangle.
Mount one of the small, single word sentiments from the Country Home Set on Block A. Ink it up with the StazOn Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Pacific Point scrap.
Pick out the short open banner with rounded ends framelit from the Bunch of Banners Framelits. Place the stamped sentiment on a Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on your Big Shot. Place the banner framelit on top so the sentiment is on the right side of the banner. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the banner sentiment cut out to the back of the matted white layer so the banner will stick out to the right side when the cardstock is right side up and the banner is about 1/8" up from the bottom.
If you haven't already done so, use Paper Snips to cut a piece free from the Chicken Wire Elements that is 2 links wide and 12 links long. Put the rest of the Chicken Wire Elements away to use on other projects in the future.
Adhere the piece of Chicken Wire Elements to the back of the matted white layer so they stick out along the bottom and to the right side when the cardstock is face up.
Adhere the cardstock/elements layers to the front of the Gray Granite card.
Cut a 3" piece of Linen Thread.
Fold the Linen Thread in half. Feed the folded thread through the holes in a Galvanized Button from the back side. Tie the thread in place using a half knot.
Tip: Use a floss or needle threader to make it easier to feed the thread through the holes in the button.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the threaded button to the card front just to the left of the banner sentiment cut out.
