Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Petunia Pop Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Fresh Freesia Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 4-1/2" of purple watercolor wash design from Bloom Impressions 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 2" x 4" from Petunia Pop Cardstock
- 1-7/8" x 3-7/8" from Adhesive Sheets
- 3/4" x 3-1/2" from Fresh Freesia Cardstock
Pick out one of the small, corner flower and leaves dies from the Spring Corners Dies. Put it on top of the horizontal white rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is in the upper right corner. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove all the pieces and pop up the pop up petals.
Note: This die will cut the leaf lines into the cardstock and will cut the flower in the center so the petals pop up but do NOT come out completely.
Use the fine tip of the Petunia Pop Marker to carefully color the pop up petals of the flower cut out in the center of the corner.
As you are ready to stamp using the Corner In Bloom Set or Delightful Wishes Set, place the cardstock or designer paper on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the small bunch of multiple flowers image from the Corner In Bloom Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Blackberry Bliss Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the designer paper strip so the stem goes off one long edge and some of the flowers go off the short edge. Re-ink the stamp and stamp it again next to the first stamped image at a slightly different angle and height. Repeat all the way across the strip of designer paper remembering to re-ink the stamp each time and change the angle and height a bit each time. Make sure to leave some designer paper unstamped all along the top edge. You can overlap the images a bit if you wish to fill in blank spaces between and along the bottom edge.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut along the top edge of the stamped flowers on the designer paper strip.
Adhere the cut down strip to the die cut white rectangle on the left edge so the cut edge of the designer paper strip is on the right side and there is about 3/8" of white showing between the flat, left edge of the designer paper strip and the left edge of the white rectangle.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off excess designer paper on the top and bottom edges.
Adhere the die cut, colored white rectangle with designer paper attached to the center of the large Fresh Freesia rectangle.
Cut a 4-3/4" piece of the Fresh Freesia 3/8" Seam Binding Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the left side of the matted white rectangle so it covers the seam between the designer paper and cardstock as shown. Fold the ends of the ribbon over and secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the Fresh Freesia rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the Petunia Pop card.
Pick out the long, skinny label die from the Delightful Wishes Dies. Put it on top of the thin Fresh Freesia strip on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Mount one of the shorter, thin sentiments from the Delightful Wishes Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Blackberry Bliss Ink Pad. Stamp it carefully on the thin, Fresh Freesia label cut out so it is closer to the left edge.
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets rectangle. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets rectangle to one side of the Petunia Pop rectangle. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the thinner, more detailed "wishing" word die from the Delightful Wishes Dies. Put it on top of the Petunia Pop rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the Petunia Pop (pink) side is face up. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Lay the label strip and "wishing" word cut out on the card front to figure out spacing and placement in the lower right corner.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the thin label strip in place.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the back of the "wishing" word cut out. Adhere it in place so the "g" at the end of the word hangs over the right end of the thin label strip if possible.
Use the fine point of the Petunia Pop Marker to draw in the dots over the "i" letters in the "wishing" word cut out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 small Fresh Freesia sequin from a sheet of Purple Adhesive-Backed Sequins making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the flower in the corner cut out.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the Fresh Freesia 3/8" Seam Binding Ribbon.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon already on the card front near the top. Tie in place with a half knot. Trim the ends.
