tamp Set: Circle Sayings
Cardstock: Moody Mauve, Pretty Peacock, Basic White, Winter Meadow DSP
Ink: Moody Mauve
Other: Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, Paper Trimmer, Stylus Shapes Dies,
Multipurpose Liquid Glue and Paper Snips.
1. The base of the card is Moody Mauve cardstock cut at 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” and scored at 4-1/4” in the middle.
2. The second layer is Winter Meadow DSP cut at 4” x 5-1/4”. Set aside.
3. Die-cut a Basic White square from the Stylus Shapes Dies and a larger one from Moody Mauve. Turn the squares with the points pointing like a diamond shape instead of a square.
4. Ink up “Thank You” from Circle Sayings stamp set with Moody Mauve ink. Layer together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue in the center of the DSP.
5. Now, cut ¼” strips of Pretty Peacock cardstock about 5-1/2” long.
6. Start on the top right by applying Multipurpose Glue to the first strip of Pretty Peacock letting the ends hang off the edge (to be cut off when dry). Then in clockwise position, add the next strip, etc. until you’ve reached the last. Once dry, cut off the ends with the Paper Snips.
7. Add the DSP to the front of the base card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
8. This technique is called Faux Shutter Card or Fractured Card.
