P retty card for Easter using soon-to-be-retired products from Stampin' Up!
Project Recipe
Cut card stock and glimmer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Blushing Bride Card Stock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Pear Pizzazz Card Stock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Whisper White Card Stock
- 3-1/2" square from Whisper White Card Stock
- 3" square from Whisper White Card Stock
- 1-1/2" x 2" from Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper
- 1" x 3-1/2" from Whisper White Card Stock
Place the large Whisper White rectangle into the Elegant Dots Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the card stock inside on top of a Cutting Pad on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place another Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the dry embossed white rectangle to the rectangle of Pear Pizzazz and then to the front of the Blushing Bride card.
Use a pencil to make a small arrow pointing up in the corner of the 3-1/2" square of white. Place the white square with the arrow pointing up on the Stampin' Pierce Mat.
Mount the wreath image from the Circle of Spring Set on Block E so that the tab on one side of the wreath is pointing up. Ink up the wreath with the Basic Gray Archival Ink Pad. Stamp on the white square so the tab is at the top.
Pick out the large wreath framelit and the small interior wreath framelit from the Wonderful Wreath Framelits. Place the stamped wreath on a Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on your Big Shot. Place the large wreath framelit on top with the tab pointing the same way as the arrow on your square so it frames the wreath. Place the small interior wreath framelit in the center with the tab pointing the same way as the arrow. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Squeeze the lid of the Blushing Bride Ink Pad to get a pool of ink in the lid. Open the pad but leave the lid exposed. Use a Blender Pen to pick up some ink from the puddle in the lid and color in the flowers on the wreath. Pick up more ink from the pad lid as needed. Remember to stroke the tip of the Blender Pen in one direction only. If you go back and forth, then the card stock could start to pill and tear. When you are done coloring with the Blushing Bride color, scribble the tip of the Blender Pen back and forth on scratch paper until no more color is coming off.
Repeat the step above using the Wild Wasabi Ink Pad. Color in the skinny stems on the wreath. Clean the Blender Pen.
Repeat the steps above using the Pear Pizzazz Ink Pad. Color in the leaves on the wreath. Clean the Blender Pen.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Circle of Spring Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Wild Wasabi Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 3" square of white.
Unlock the 1-3/4" Circle Punch. Holding the punch upside down, slide the stamped sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Put SNAIL Adhesive around the inside edge on the back of the colored wreath image. Adhere it over the sentiment circle so the sentiment is centered.
Add more SNAIL Adhesive to the back of the sentiment and wreath and adhere to the center of the card front about 1/2" from the top of the white layer.
Mount the flower image from the Circle of Spring Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Basic Gray Archival Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the remaining strip of white. Re-ink the stamp and stamp it again in the middle. Re-ink and stamp again on the other end.
Pick out the outline flower framelit from the Wonderful Wreath Framelits. Place the strip of stamped flowers on a Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on your Big Shot. Place the outline flower framelit on top so it frames one of the flowers. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Repeat to cut out the other two flowers.
Squeeze the lid of the Blushing Bride Ink Pad to get a pool of ink in the lid. Open the pad but leave the lid exposed. Use a Blender Pen to pick up some ink from the puddle in the lid and color in the petals of the flowers. When you are done coloring with the Blushing Bride color, scribble the tip of the Blender Pen back and forth on scratch paper until no more color is coming off.
Repeat the step above using the Wild Wasabi Ink Pad. Color in the centers of the flowers. Clean the Blender Pen.
Adhere one colored flower to the top left of the wreath using SNAIL Adhesive or a Mini Glue Dot.
Use Paper Snips to cut two small pieces of Stampin' Dimensionals from the sides of a sheet. Adhere the pieces to the backs of the other two flowers. Remove the protective backings and adhere one flower to the top left of the wreath so it overlaps the other flower and one flower to the bottom left corner of the card front.
Pick out the bow framelit from the Wonderful Wreath Framelits. Place the piece of Glimmer Paper on a Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on your Big Shot. Place the bow framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Use Paper Snips to cut small pieces of Stampin' Dimensionals from the sides of a sheet. Adhere the pieces to the back of the glimmer paper bow. Remove the protective backings and adhere the bow to the bottom right of the wreath.
Carefully pull four sequins off the Blushing Bride Sequin Trim. Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere the sequins to the centers of the flowers and bow.
