Q uick and easy Christmas card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Real Red Cardstock 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Garden Green Cardstock
- 2-3/8" x 4-3/8" from Real Red Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 4-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1" x 4" of rows of tiny white dots on red background design from Sweetest Christmas 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 1-3/4" x 3-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1" x 1-1/4" of Real Red Glimmer Paper from Real Red & White 6" x 6" Glimmer Paper
Insert the Garden Green rectangle horizontally into the Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder. Use the line drawn on the front flap of the folder to help you line the cardstock up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Adhere the dry embossed Garden Green rectangle to the front of the Real Red card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Christmas Season Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the set of two holly leaves image from the Christmas Season Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp it on the right side of the horizontal 2-1/4" x 4-1/4" white rectangle so the top point of the right leaf almost touches the right edge of the rectangle and the top point of the left leaf almost touches the top edge of the rectangle. WITHOUT RE-INKING, move the stamp about 1/2" to the left and stamp again. Re-ink the stamp and stamp it slightly to the left and slightly higher than the first full strength leaves. WITHOUT RE-INKING, move the stamp to the left a bit and stamp again filling in any white space.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle to the center of the long Real Red rectangle.
Adhere the strip of Sweetest Christmas Designer Paper to the back of the matted holly leaves rectangle so it is centered side to side along the bottom edge and hangs down about 1/2".
Adhere the matted holly leaves rectangle with designer paper attached to the front of the card so it is centered side to side and is about 1/2" from the top edge.
Mount the "have a holly jolly christmas" sentiment from the Christmas To Remember Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the remaining 1-3/4" x 3-1/4" white strip.
Pick out the bumpy ended label die that cuts out a label that is 1-3/8" x 2-3/4" from the Seasonal Labels Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment is centered in the label. Run through the machine.
Use the side of the brush tip of the Real Red Stampin' Write Marker to carefully outline the edges of the sentiment label cut out.
Adhere the outlined sentiment label cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the holly leaves on the bottom left side as shown.
Pick out the open set of four holly berries die from the Seasonal Labels Dies. Put it on top of the Real Red glimmer paper rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the berries cut out to the front of the card as shown so it overlaps the lower right side of the sentiment label cut out and the bottoms of the stamped holly leaves.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the Garden Green ribbon from the Real Red & Garden Green 3/8" Ribbon Combo Pack.
Tie a knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card as shown on the lower right side of the matted holly leaves rectangle.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up two rhinestones from a sheet of Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them in a straight line in the upper left corner of the matted holly leaves rectangle as shown.
