T echniques card: Heat embossing, die cutting, stamping, two-step stamping.
Project Recipe
Cut a piece of Lovely Lipstick cardstock to 5 1/2 by 8 1/2 inches. Score at 4 1/4 inches. Fold, set aside.
Stamp a piece of Whisper White card cut to 4 x 5 1/4 inches with Shaded Spruce pines. Once in left corner facing down, and once in right corner facing to the left.
Repeat step 2 with the 'filler' pines piece stamped in Mossy Meadow. Take care to line up the stamped needles between the first stamping for a fuller pine needle look.
Use the snowflakes stamp from the Christmas Pines, and stamp snowflakes 4 times, only inking twice.
How? Ink in Balmy Blue, and stamp once. Immediately stamp in another spot close by. Repeat.
Why? This gives depth to your stamping with the lighter stamped off snowflakes that seem to be in the distance.
Rub the embossing buddy over the bottom right corner of the card.
Using the Versamark pad, stamp the sentiment, and use the Lovely Lipstick embossing powder for the sentiment.
Secret: I added some glitter to the embossing powder.
Cut both Lovely Lipstick and Call Me Clover ribbon to 7 inches. adhere along the top of the card, turning the edges around the back. Adhere stamped piece to card base.
Die cut all three sizes of pine needles in Shaded Spruce. Adhere in a layer, fanning them so they spread out.
Note: Since Call Me Clover ribbon and Mossy Meadow ink are used on this card, you could die cut some of the pine needles in those cardstock colors as well.
Use the pine cone dies to cut two pieces. Early Espresso for the more solid piece, and Copper Foil for the piece with holes. Adhere together as one piece. Attach to card with a dimensional.
Use the Lovely Lipstick and Call Me Clover ribbon to tie a bow. Adhere with dimensionals.
Card interior:
Stamp all over in same technique with snowflake stamp.
Stamp pine needles in same colors on left side.
Stamp sentiment.
