This was a cute little chicken card for my Dec stamp club...a little late for Christmas but the Valentine chicken image "flew the coop" after I had the stamps on the table and he still hasn't come home! Crazy litle bird...but the Santa stocking cap chicken was co-operative so he got to be on the card!
Project Recipe
stamp chick with Santa cap on white scrap using permanent black ink (I used Tuxedo Black Memento ink) then co!or in chick as desired with markers or blender pins and punch out using the 2.25" circle punch. Layer the chickie onto the 2 .5" Cherry Cobbler punched circle, stamp "enjoy the season" sentiment on white cardstock scrap using Cherry Cobbler ink. , punch out with1.25" circle punch and layer on Cherry Cobbler cardstock scrap punched with Pretty Label punch.
2.) Run a 4" x5.25" piece of Crumb Cake cardstock throught the Pinewood Planks embossing folder and " distress" by sponging lightly across the grain using Crumb Cake ink.
3. Use Stampin'dimensionals to attach large circle with chicken image at top left corner of embossed Crumb Cake layer and "enjoy the season" sentiment to the bottom right corner with dimensionals.
4. Use strong adhesive to attach the crumb cake panel to the front of a folded Cherry Cobbler card (5.5" x8.5" , scored at 4.25" )
5.Adhere a 4" x5.25" white panel on the inside of card for desired sentiment, I used the coordinating "" wishing you a joyful Christmas
sentiment.
