Project Recipe
Card Base: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"
Designer Series paper scraps: approximately 18 strips cut 1/4" or 1/2" x 12"
Basic White scrap for sentiment
Gather some of your favorite Designer Series paper in coordinating patterns and colors.
Cut patterned paper to 1/4 inch (or 1/2 inch) x 12 inch strips. Cut those strips into 3-inch long segments. You can vary the appearance of your chevron stripes by changing up the length and width of your strips. Experiment with different patterns, colors and lengths to see what you like best!
Take two of the 3 inch strips of paper, join them squarely to create a corner, and adhere. Take another strip and add it to the end going in the opposite direction. This will create the peaks and valleys of the chevron stripes.
Once you've finished a stripe that fits across the middle of the card base, adhere it.
Add more stripes to your card by adhering more strips together as you did with the first one. Line these up with your first stripe. You can keep each stripe one color or mix and match pieces as I did.
Once you've finished all of the stripes, add a sentiment or some die cuts as a focal point, and embellish!
