P retty card using Stampin' Up! products from the 2018 Occasions Catalog.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Whisper White Thick Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 4-3/4" of white leaf sprigs on black background design from Petal Passion Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/4" x 4-1/4" of black berry sprigs on white background design from Petal Passion Designer Series Paper
- 3-1/4" x 4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 2-3/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1" x 3-1/2" from Whisper White Cardstock
Place the largest Whisper White rectangle into the Brick Wall Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the card stock inside on top of a Cutting Pad on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place another Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the dry embossed white rectangle to the front of the Whisper White Thick card.
Place the smaller strip of designer paper (the white with black pattern) on top of the other strip (the black with white pattern) so the bottoms are lined up and the smaller strip is centered over the larger one from side to side. Place these on top of a Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Pick out the smooth sided square framelit from the Layering Squares Framelits that cuts out a smooth square that is 2-3/8" wide. Place the square framelit over the ends of the designer paper strips so that one corner is pointing up in the center of the strips and the framelit will cut a notch in the bottom of the strips. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the larger, notched designer paper strip (black with white pattern) to the center of the card front.
Adhere the smaller, notched designer paper strip (the white with black pattern) to the card front so it overlaps the larger strip a little about 1/4" down from the top of the larger strip and with about 3/8" hanging over the right side of the larger strip.
Mount the large oval floral frame image from the Charming Cafe Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Basic Black Archival Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the remaining largest white rectangle.
Pick out the matching slightly oval framelit from the Cafe Builder Framelits. Place the stamped oval image on a Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the Cafe Builder Framelit on top so it is centered over the stamped image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Loop some Black Metallic Thread around your fingers a few times and cut it loose from the spool.
Put SNAIL Adhesive all over the back of the oval floral frame cut out. Adhere the Metallic Thread to it in loops.
Add more SNAIL to the back of the floral oval frame cut out if needed and adhere to the card front so it is centered over the banners.
Mount the cafe chairs and table image from the Charming Cafe Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Basic Black Archival Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the largest remaining white rectangle.
Pick out the matching framelit from the Cafe Builder Framelits. Place the stamped cafe chairs and table image on a Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the Cafe Builder Framelit on top so it is centered over the stamped image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals and Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the cafe chairs and table cut out to the card front so it is centered side to side in the oval floral frame and near the top of the oval floral frame.
Mount the "Life is better with you in it" sentiment from the Charming Cafe Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Basic Black Archival Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the remaining white piece.
Pick out the long, single, open banner framelit from the Bunch of Banners Framelits. Place the stamped sentiment on a Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on your Big Shot. Place the banner framelit on top so the sentiment is centered. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Poke out the banner with the sentiment and keep it. Also use the Paper-Piercing Tool to poke out the outline banner that is probably stuck inside the framelit, remove it, and throw it away. If you don't remove it, then you will have trouble cutting with this framelit the next time you use it.
Adhere the sentiment cut out to the card front below the cafe chairs and table image using Stampin' Dimensionals.
Pick out a leaf sprig embellishment from the Petal Passion Embellishments. Use a Mini Glue Dot on the end to adhere the embellishment to the card front on the left side of the floral oval frame. Tuck the end of the embellishment with the glue dot attached under the left edge of the sentiment.
Cut a 16" piece of Basic Black Solid Baker's Twine.
Double the twine over and then tie a small bow in it. Trim the ends.
Adhere the bow to the card front with a Mini Glue Dot so it is just below the sentiment strip on the right side.
