F un birthday card using washi tape and other Stampin' Up! products.
Cut card stock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Pear Pizzazz Card Stock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Peekaboo Peach Card Stock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Whisper White Card Stock
Pick out the balloon framelit from the Balloon Framelits. Place the Whisper White rectangle on the Cutting Pad on top of your Magnetic Platform on your Big Shot. Place the balloon framelit on top so it is centered side to side and about 1/2" from the top. Place the other Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Save both pieces.
Without adhering it, place the white rectangle on top of the Peekaboo Peach rectangle so it is centered on the peach layer. Put adhesive on the back of the balloon cut out and adhere it onto the peach layer by placing it inside the cut out space on the white layer. Remove the white rectangle and set it aside for now.
One at a time, tear off 3" strips of the various Tasty Treats Designer Washi Tape patterns and place them across the balloon adhered to the Peekaboo Peach layer. Place them at a slight angle and make sure the long edges touch. I started with the popsicle pattern first and placed it across the center of the balloon. Then, I added additional pieces above and below it. Make sure that none of the washi tape gets too close to the edges of the peach layer.
Mount the string of triangles image from the Celebrate Today Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Peekaboo Peach Ink Pad. Stamp it onto the white layer so it appears to be coming from the base of the balloon. Clean the stamp with the Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub, but leave it on the block.
Reink the stamp with the Pear Pizzazz Ink Pad and stamp it to the left side of the Peekaboo Peach string of triangles so it also appears to be coming from the base of the balloon. Clean the stamp and leave it on the block.
Reink the stamp with the Watermelon Wonder Ink Pad and stamp it to the left side of the Pear Pizzazz string of triangles so it also appears to be coming from the base of the balloon. Clean the stamp and put it away.
Mount the word "happy" from the Celebrate Today Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Pear Pizzazz Ink Pad. Stamp it to the right of the triangle strings about 1" from the bottom of the white layer.
Mount the word "birthday"from the Celebrate Today Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Watermelon Wonder Ink Pad. Stamp it just below the word "happy" so it overlaps just a tiny bit.
Adhere the stamped white layer to the Peekaboo Peach layer so it frames the washi tape balloon. Then, adhere the Peekaboo Peach layer to the front of the Pear Pizzazz card.
Cut a 10" piece of Calypso Coral Thick Baker's Twine. Tie a bow. Trim the ends. Adhere to the base of the balloon using a Mini Glue Dot.
