Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Bumblebee Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from So Saffron Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 5-1/8" from Bumblebee Cardstock
- 1" x 5" from Adhesive Sheets
- 3-1/2" square from Bumblebee Cardstock
- 3-1/2" square from So Saffron Cardstock
- 3-3/8" square from Adhesive Sheets
- 1-1/4" square of Cinnamon Cider canvas pattern from 2020-2022 In Color 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
Lay the 4" x 5-1/4" piece of So Saffron Cardstock on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. Mount the large sunflower image from the Celebrate Sunflowers Set on Block E. Ink it up with the So Saffron Ink Pad. Stamp it in the lower right corner of the So Saffron rectangle so some of the flower goes off the right and bottom edges. Clean the stamp using the Simply Shammy and/or Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub, but leave it on the block.
Re-ink the large sunflower image on Block E with the Bumblebee Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Bumblebee square.
Mount the "let's celebrate you" or "thanks a bunch" sentiment from the Celebrate Sunflowers Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Cinnamon Cider Ink Pad. Stamp it in the lower right corner of the stamped So Saffron rectangle so it is as close to the right and bottom edges as possible.
Adhere the stamped So Saffron rectangle to the front of the Bumblebee card.
Peel the protective backing off of the long, thin strip of Adhesive Sheets. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets strip to one long edge of the 2-1/2" x 5-1/8" Bumblebee strip. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the long, stems and flowers die from the Ornate Borders Dies. Put it on top of the bottom edge of the Bumblebee strip on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the Bumblebee (yellow) side is facing up and the die is as close to the bottom edge as possible with the flowers on the bottom edge. Make sure the edge of the cardstock with the Adhesive Sheets strip attached is under the die. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and Take Your Pick to remove the pieces. Make sure the protective backing for the Adhesive Sheet stays in place for now.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the back of the Bumblebee strip and add Stampin' Seal to the rest of the back of the Bumblebee strip. Adhere the die cut Bumblebee strip to the card front so it is centered across the top of the stamped So Saffron layer.
Pick out the large, open sunflower die from the Sunflowers Dies. Put it on top of the stamped Bumblebee flower square on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so it is centered over the stamped flower image. Run through the tool.
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets square. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets square to one side of the So Saffron square. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the large, detailed sunflower die from the Sunflowers Dies. Put it on top of the So Saffron square on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the So Saffron (yellow) side is facing up. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and Take Your Pick to remove the pieces. Make sure the protective backing for the Adhesive Sheet stays in place for now. Leave the die out.
Before removing the protective backing from the detailed So Saffron sunflower cut out, figure out which way it and the Bumblebee sunflower cut out need to be oriented for them to line up.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the back of the detailed So Saffron sunflower cut out and adhere it to the solid Bumblebee sunflower cut out so the petals all line up.
Place the large, detailed sunflower die on top of the Cinnamon Cider designer paper square on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the center of the sunflower die is centered over the center of the paper square. Run through the tool.
Adhere the circle cut out from the center of the designer paper square to the center of the layered sunflower dies.
Adhere the layered sunflower dies to the left side of the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals. Make sure you do not cover the sentiment.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a small gem from a sheet of Gilded Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the bottom left side of the center of the sunflower.
Carefully remove one of the wooden leaves from the wood of the In Good Taste Elements. Press the back of the leaf element to the roll of Mini Glue Dots a couple of times to get two glue dots on the back of the element. Adhere the leaf element to the front of the card so it sticks out to the upper right side of the flower cut out at an angle and the bottom of the leaf element is tucked under the flower.
