Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Bumblebee Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Granny Apple Green Cardstock
- 3-1/2" square from Bumblebee Cardstock
- 3-1/2" square from Soft Suede Cardstock
- 3-3/8" square from Adhesive Sheets
- 1-1/2" x 4" from Soft Suede Cardstock
- 3/4" x 4-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1" square of Bumblebee background with white striped dots from 2020-2022 In Color 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
Lightly spritz the Granny Apple Green rectangle with water and insert into the Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder. Use the line drawn on the front flap of the folder to help you line the cardstock up straight. Place the folder with the paper inside on your die cutting and embossing tool and run through the machine. Set aside to dry.
Pick out the large, open sunflower die from the Sunflowers Dies. Put it on top of the Bumblebee square on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool.
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets square. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets square to one side of the large Soft Suede square. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the large, detailed sunflower die from the Sunflowers Dies. Put it on top of the Soft Suede square on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the Soft Suede (brown) side is facing up. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and Take Your Pick to remove the pieces. Make sure the protective backing for the Adhesive Sheet stays in place for now.
Before removing the protective backing from the detailed Soft Suede sunflower cut out, figure out which way it and the Bumblebee sunflower cut out need to be oriented for them to line up.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the back of the detailed Soft Suede sunflower cut out and adhere it to the solid Bumblebee sunflower cut out so the petals all line up.
Pick out the small, solid, center of the sunflower die from the Sunflowers Dies. Put it on top of the Bumblebee Designer Paper square on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool.
Adhere the designer paper sunflower center cut out to the center of the layered sunflower cut outs.
Pick out both of the leaf sprig dies from the Sunflowers Dies. Put them on top of the Soft Suede rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
If the dry embossed large Granny Apple Green rectangle is dry, proceed with the next step.
Tip: You can speed up drying with a Heat Tool if needed.
Place both Soft Suede leaf sprig cut outs on the right side of the Granny Apple Green rectangle at a slight angle so they almost touch the top and right sides of the green rectangle and overlap each other a bit. Put a small piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive across the bottom of the stems to hold them in place.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape on the green rectangle. Add some Stampin' Seal to the back of the layered sunflower cut out. Adhere the sunflower cut out to the Granny Apple Green layer on the left side so it is centered top to bottom and overlaps the Tear & Tape holding the leaf sprigs in place.
Unlock the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the white strip into the right side of the punch (the side of the punch with the flatter label top) as far as it will go. Punch.
Mount the "Thanks a bunch" or "Let's celebrate you" sentiment from the Celebrate Sunflowers Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Granny Apple Green Ink Pad. Stamp it on the punched white strip so the punched end is on the left side and the sentiment is a close as possible to the left end.
Cut a 4" piece of Bumblebee 1/4" Gingham Ribbon.
Tie the ribbon around the right end of the stamped sentiment strip as close to the right end of the sentiment as possible using a knot. Trim the ends.
Adhere the sentiment strip with ribbon attached to the Granny Apple Green rectangle so it overlaps the bottom right side of the sunflower and is just below the leaf sprigs. Trim off excess cardstock on the right side as needed.
Adhere the Granny Apple Green rectangle with sentiment strip attached to the front of the Bumblebee card.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a large gem from a sheet of Gilded Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the sunflower.
