Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Gorgeous Grape Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of watery purple design from Simply Marbleous 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper cut in half on a diagonal
- 2" x 3-3/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 2" of marbled purple design from Simply Marbleous 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
- 3/16" x 2" from Highland Heather Cardstock
- small scraps of Basic White Cardstock
Mount the "you make my heart happy" sentiment from the Catching Butterflies Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Gorgeous Grape Ink Pad. Stamp it on the bottom of the watery Simply Marbleous Designer Paper triangle as shown.
Mount the grouping of butterflies image from the Catching Butterflies Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Highland Heather Ink Pad. Stamp it just above the stamped sentiment on the designer paper triangle. Leave the stamp on the block.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the stamped triangle of watery purple Simply Marbleous Designer Paper on the large white rectangle so about 1/8" of white shows on the left and bottom edges. Make sure your cardstock is on top of some Grid Paper to protect your work surface.
Re-ink the grouping of butterflies image on Block C with the Highland Heather Ink Pad. Stamp it repeatedly all over the upper right corner of the white rectangle beside the designer paper triangle. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Let some of the images go off the edges of the paper. Leave the stamp on the block.
Use strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the back of the stamped designer paper triangle on the NON-diagonal edges to adhere the stamped triangle to the bottom left side of the stamped white rectangle. Make sure there is NO adhesive along the diagonal edge. You are making a pocket to tuck the bookmark into.
Adhere the white cardstock/designer paper triangle pocket to the front of the Gorgeous Grape card.
Unlock the Delightful Tag Topper Punch. Slide one short edge of the white strip into the punch as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch.
Mount the "collecting sweet thoughts of you" or the "celebrate every beautiful thing" sentiment from the Catching Butterflies Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Gorgeous Grape Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the top of the tag about 5/8" from the bottom of the hole in the top of the tag.
Re-ink the grouping of butterflies image on Block C with the Highland Heather Ink Pad. Stamp it repeatedly around the sentiment on the top of the tag. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Let some of the images go off the edges of the tag. Be sure to have Grid Paper under the tag to protect your work surface. Leave the stamp on the block.
Adhere the piece of marbled Simply Marbleous Designer Paper to the bottom of the tag.
Use the side of the brush tip of the Highland Heather Marker to carefully outline the top of the edge of the tag (above the designer paper).
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the thin strip of Highland Heather cardstock to the tag so it covers the seam between the designer paper and the cardstock.
Cut a 4" piece of the Highland Heather 1/2" Grosgrain Ribbon.
Slide one end of the ribbon through the hole in the top of the tag. Pull the ribbon through so it is even.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the White 1/4" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon.
Tie the white ribbon around the purple ribbon just above the top of the tag using a knot. Trim the ends of both ribbons.
Tuck the bookmark into the pocket on the front of the card.
Re-ink the grouping of butterflies image on Block C with the Highland Heather Ink Pad. Stamp it on some scraps of white cardstock until you have three larger butterflies. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time if needed.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out the three larger butterflies by hand. Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere them to the front of the card as shown. Make sure NO adhesive goes over the diagonal edge of the designer paper triangle or you will seal the pocket shut.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up one Gorgeous Grape pearl from a sheet of Pastel Pearls making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the bottom right angle of the designer paper triangle on the card front.
