Q uick and easy Christmas card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and foil sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Real Red Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" from miscellaneous ornaments on vanilla background design from Christmas Around the World Designer Series Paper
- 2" x 3-1/2" from Old Olive Cardstock
- 3-1/2" square from Real Red Cardstock
- 3-1/2" square from Whisper White Cardstock
- scrap from Gold Foil Sheets at least 1-1/2" wide
Place the Old Olive rectangle into the Holly Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the card stock inside on top of a Cutting Pad on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place another Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the dry embossed Old Olive rectangle to the bottom left side of the Real Red card so it lines up with the score line on the left side and is about 3/4" up from the bottom edge.
Adhere the rectangle of Christmas Around the World Designer Series Paper to the front of the card so it lines up with the score line on the left side, overlaps the green layer just a bit, and is about 3/4" from the top of the card.
Cut a 12-1/2" piece of Old Olive 1/4" Stitched-Edge Ribbon.
Lay it across the seam between the designer paper and green layers in a zig zag so the edges are just inside the front of the card. Adhere in place by putting a piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive across the ribbon vertically on the right side of the designer paper/green layers.
Pick out the scalloped circle framelit from the Layering Circles Framelits that cuts out a 3-1/8" scalloped circle. Place the red square on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the scalloped circle framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Mount the "Deck the Halls" sentiment from the Carols of Christmas Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp in the center of the white square.
Pick out the smooth circle framelit from the Layering Circles Framelits that cuts out a 3" circle. Place the stamped sentiment on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the smooth circle framelit on top so it is centered over the sentiment. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the sentiment circle to the scalloped red circle.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment circles to the front of the card so they overlap the ribbon and hang over the right edge of the designer paper/green layers just a bit.
Unlock the Holly Berry Builder Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the scrap of Gold Foil Sheets into the punch. Line it up in the bow punching area and punch.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals on the back of the tails of the bow punch out only to adhere the bow to the front of the card at a slight angle in the lower right side of the sentiment circles.
Add a large Old Olive Brights Enamel Shapes circle to the center of the bow.
