Project Recipe
Cut Smoky Slate card stock 5.5" x 8.5" and score at 4.25".
Cut Blushing Bride card stock 4" x 5.25". Place inside Spring Flowers embossing folder and run through Big Shot.
Cut Whisper White card stock 4" x 5.5". Using Big Shot with standard cutting pads and your Magnetic Platform, cut out large butterfly image from the Butterflies Thinlits Dies.
Using Basic Gray Classic Stamp Pad and Stampin' Sponges, lightly distress the butterfly.
Cut Basic Gray card stock 4" x 4" for your flower.
Using the Flower Spiral Bigz die, Big Shot and Basic Gray card stock, cut out flower. Trim the lower edge of the flower with sissors so that you have cut off approximately half of the depth. This will allow the flower to sit closer to the butterfly.
NOTE: I find that it is easier to work with this flower after I have worked with the card stock in my fingers to soften it. Roll the flower up and then smash it from the top to distress the edges of the petals.
Cut Organza Ribbon so it wraps around the back of the Blushing Bride embossed card stock by an inch and adhere with Snail Adhesive. Cut another piece of ribbon to tie around the front.
Adhere the Blushing Bride card stock to the Smoky Slate base card using Snail Adhesive.
Adhere the butterfly using a couple of Glue Dots on the middle "body" of the butterfly. You will want the wings to be free to lift up slightly for dimension on this card.
Adhere flower to the "body" of the butterfly using Liquid All Purpose glue. Place the Curly Label sentiment under the flower slightly.
