T he smaller prints in the Butterfly Bijou paper pack works great on this kind of card design. I used some scraps of paper for the strips. I didn’t add a sentiment to the card front so I can make it the kind of card I need at the time.
Project Recipe
Card Base: Cut Just Jade 8 ½ X 11 paper in half widthwise. You now have two pieces 8 ½ X 5 ½ . Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.
Card Mat: Cut Basic White paper 4 X 5 1/4
Card Front: Cut Magenta Madness paper 3 ½ X 4 ¼, cut 3 strips of 1 X 4 from butterfly paper. Attach the 3 butterfly strips centered on the Magenta Madness paper. Attach the Magenta paper with butterfly strips to the Basic White mat. Emboss this piece with the Absolutely Argyle embossing folder.
Cut a 12” piece of Magenta ribbon. Wrap around the bottom of the card front and knot. I used a glue knot to attach the knot to the white card mat. Attach embossed card mat to Jade card base.
Die cut butterfly from butterfly paper. If you don’t the dies that match the paper you can cut closely around the butterfly in the paper pack. Attach the butterfly the card front. Brush the butterfly with Wink of Stella.
That’s it; you have finished your card front. For the inside of your card, cut a piece of Whisper White 4 X 5 ¼. Stamp a sentiment or write a note before attaching this piece inside your card.
