P retty thank you card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a cutting and scoring tool:
- card from Seaside Spray Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" of pink, purple, and light blue vintage fabric design from Woven Threads Designer Series Paper
- 4" x 5" from Sahara Sand Cardstock
- 3" x 4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 4-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
Adhere the piece of Woven Threads Designer Paper to the front of the Seaside Spray card.
Pick out the oval die from the Heirloom Frames Dies & 3D Embossing Folders. Put it on top of the Sahara Sand rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool. Keep the die out for use on a later step.
Lightly spritz the Sahara Sand oval frame with water and insert into the oval Heirloom Frames 3D Embossing Folder. Line it up on the embossing portion of the folder. Place the folder with the paper inside on your die cutting and embossing tool and run through the machine. Set aside to dry.
Tip: I used a couple of Mini Glue Dots and adhered a center, solid oval that is cut out when using the oval die to the center of the smooth oval in the center of the embossing folder. This makes it easier for me to line up the oval frame inside the embossing folder.
As you are ready to stamp using the Butterfly Gala Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Place a piece of paper (Grid Paper works great) on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the "thank you so very much" sentiment from the Butterfly Gala Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Rococo Rose Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 3" x 4" white rectangle.
Put the oval die from the Heirloom Frames Dies & 3D Embossing Folders on top of the stamped sentiment rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the sentiment is centered. Run through the tool.
If the oval frame is dry, proceed with the next step. Speed up drying if needed with the Heat Tool.
Adhere the oval frame to the front of the card so it is centered.
Adhere the oval sentiment cut out to the center of the oval frame on the front of the card.
Mount one of the butterfly set images from the Butterfly Gala Set on Block D. Ink up the large butterfly by pressing it to the Rococo Rose Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the remaining white cardstock strip. Re-ink the stamp and stamp it again on the other end of the remaining white cardstock strip. Be sure to leave some room between the images so you can punch them out.
Mount the solid, large, top wings image from the Butterfly Gala Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Seaside Spray Ink Pad. Stamp it inside the top wings of one of the stamped large butterfly images. Repeat with the other large butterfly image.
Mount the solid, large, bottom wings image from the Butterfly Gala Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Seaside Spray Ink Pad. Stamp it inside the bottom wings of one of the stamped large butterfly images. Repeat with the other large butterfly image.
Unlock the Butterfly Duet Punch. Hold it upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide one of the large stamped butterfly images into the punch and get it centered in the corresponding punching area. Punch. Repeat with the other large butterfly image.
Mount the larger, solid butterfly body image from the Butterfly Gala Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Rococo Rose Ink Pad and stamp it in the center of one of the large, stamped butterfly punch outs. Repeat with the other large, stamped butterfly punch out.
Tip: I find it easier to line up the body for the butterfly if I punch the image out first.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the butterfly punch outs to the top left side of the oval frame on the front of the card. Let the butterflies overlap each other a bit.
Cut an 8" piece of Seaside Spray 1/4" Metallic Ribbon.
Tie a small bow in the center of the ribbon and trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the bow to the front of the card on the lower right side of the oval frame.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up one large and one medium Seaside Spray dots and one small Rococo Rose dot from a sheet of 2019-2021 In Color Faceted Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the front of the card in a rough triangle in the lower left corner so a couple of them overlap the oval frame.
