Project Recipe
Cut the cardstock.
Highland Heather cut a@ 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, score @ 4 1/2. Fold that card. Place the fold at the top of the trimmer. Line the right edge of the card to the 1" mark on the right side of the cutter. Bring the blade to the 2" mark on the arm of the trimmer. Cut, bringing the blade up the card over the fold. (at this point, we are removing a portion of the card to make a 2" square cutout.)
Move the card's left side to the 2" mark. Bring the blade to the 2" mark on the arm and cut going up.
Turn the card a quarter turn and bring the edge to the 2" mark. Slice from the 3" to the 1" mark on the arm of the trimmer.
You should have a folded piece of cardstock that measures 2 x 2 folded—also, a folded cardstock with a 2" cutout at the top right-hand portion of the card.
Save the 2 x 2 folded card for another project. Cut the Evening Evergreen cardstock @ 5 1/2. x 2.
Let's make the box lid. Cut out a 3" x 3" square using the leftover Highland Heather cardstock. Score at the 1/2" mark to see the line of the mark. You need the lid to be slightly larger than the box to make it fit without puckering. Cut up to the scoreline on the opposite sides of the lid. Add the Tear & Tape to the tabs and adhere them to the folded edge.
Let's make the box.
Cut a 6 x 6 square of the Designer Series Paper. Score at 2", turning the square as you score. Cut on the score marks up to the score mark on one side, then turn the square and cut on the opposite score marks and cut up to the score marks. Fold on those scores, and trim 1/2" off each tab. Place Tear & Tape on the tabs and adhere each to make the box,
