oved using the new Bouquet Blooms stamp set and framelits with some of the new Stampin'UP! colors for this clever tunnel fold card.
I found the tunnel fold card on pinterest and thought it paired up nicely with this great combo of stamps, ink and framelets!
Project Recipe
Cut and score cardstock as follows:
Grapefruit Grove cardstock 4.25" by 1 1", score at 5.5" for card base.
Blueberry Bushel c/s 4" x5.25"
Whisper White cardstock piece cut 3.75" x 5"
whisper White cardstock scrap approc 2" x4"
2 pieces of Whisper White cardstock cut to 10.5" x4". Score one piece at 2.5" , 5.5" and 8"instructions , score the 2 nd piece 5.25" .Reserve these long scored pieces for later to use inside the card.
Before layering and stamping the base of cardfront, use 2.5" circle punch ( or eqiva!ent size plain edged circle framelit) to punch a circle from the inside of Blueberry Bushel cardstock . Push the punch as far into the center of blueberry cardstock as possible so the punched hole won't show at edge of card later on. put this circle piece aside to use for layering later on. then adhere theblueberry layer minus the circle onto the Grapefruit grove base.
Use Grapefruit Grove cardstock to stamp desired greeting centered on the right side of the white card panel..I used "thanks friend" then use Blueberry Bushel ink to stamp the little flourish images above and below the sentiment. Let ink dry then run the stamped white panel through the Big Shot with the Layered Leaves thick embossing folder.
Attach the stamped and dry embossed Whisper White layer to the Blueberry Bushel rectangle layer. ( Now that hole is covered up..feel better?) then use Sticky Strp or Tearin' Tape to attach the punched out 2.5" blue circle on left side of white embossed front panel, place it as shown centered from top to bottom.
Once the blue circle is adhered, grab a scrap of white cardstock approx 2" by 4" and the Grapefruit Grove ink pad to stamp the small floral sprig image on the white cardstock scrap. Allow grapefruit ink to dry then color the small flowers in with a Daffodil Delight marker. Diecut this image with the matching sprig framelit and attach to the Blueberry Bushel circle with mini dimensionals.
Use the dark pumpkin pie Blends marker to color in 9 tiny clear rhinestones and adhere to the yellow centers of each flower, the small flowers each get one, the large grapefruit colored bloom gets 3..for a total of 9 tiny gems per card
Now for the inside of the card! select the long white panel with 3 scored lines and diecut a scalloped hole smack in the middle with equal spacing at all sides by lining up the 3" diameter scalloped circle die in the middle. Once you cut out that hole place the long panel with the circle cut out on top of the other long white folded panel(the one with only one single score line , this gives you a little "window frame" mask to stamp thru.
Ink up the large "starburst" shaped image with Grapefruit Grove ink and stamp the image thru the cut out. (An alternate option would be to use the "Stamparatus" stamp positioning tool to ensure placement)
After that image dries, remove the top "window" and use Blueberry Bushel to stamp the smaller 8 petal bloom inside the starburst image. Allow to dry, then color in the 3 blank circles inside the bloom with yellow or "dust" on yellow "pollen" with gold tone Wink of Stella and allow to dry.
Stamp inside piece with desired sentiment (I used "you're the best!" )
Now apply adhesive only to the two outer panels of the white panel with scalloped cut out window panel, do not put adhesive on the inside "window"panel so it can open and close freely. When attaching the panel with window over the stamped floral panel, they should line up completely and only be attached over the two outside panels. This will allow the card to pop out when opened and still fold flat to mail.
Stamp desired greeting on the inside.
Select the long white piece with 3 score lines and use the 3 inch scalloped circle framelit to diecut a window at the halfway mark .
this is how the inside piece should look when finished.
here's what the panel looks like while opened..with a measurement "cheat sheet" for scoring.
finished card can pop up when opened and fold flat to fit in envelope.
finished card should stand up and "pop out" when opened.
