Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Powder Pink Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 5-1/4" of Powder Pink floral bouquets on white background design from Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper Stack
- 2-3/4" x 3-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2" x 2-3/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
Cut a 3-1/4" piece and a 6-1/2" piece of Whisper White 1/4" Organza Ribbon.
Place both pieces of ribbon on top of some Grid Paper to protect your work surface.
Use the brush tip of the Pear Pizzazz Marker to color both pieces of ribbon on one side. Turn the smaller piece of ribbon over and color it on the other side as well. Set the ribbons aside to let them dry.
Mount the basket of flowers image from the Blossoming Basket Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Pear Pizzazz Ink Pad. Stamp it on the left side of the large white rectangle so the leaves on the left side are as close to the left side of the cardstock as possible and the top of the handle is as close to the top of the cardstock as possible. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub, but leave it on the block.
Re-ink the stamp with the Crumb Cake Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the medium rectangle of white. Don't worry if the leaves go off the sides. Clean the stamp, but leave it on the block.
Re-ink the stamp with the Powder Pink Ink Pad. Stamp it on the small white rectangle so you get the flowers in the center of the basket. Clean the stamp and put it away.
Mount the tiny tag with hearts on it image from the Blossoming Basket Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Crumb Cake Ink Pad. Stamp it about half way up the right side of the stamped basket handle on the large white rectangle.
WITHOUT adhering, place the strip of Fresh Florals Designer Paper across the bottom of the stamped, large white rectangle.
Ink up the "Praying for You..." sentiment from the Thoughts & Prayers Set with the Pear Pizzazz Ink Pad. Stamp it just above the top of the designer paper strip to the right of the stamped basket image.
Remove the designer paper for now and set it aside.
Use the fine tip of the Pear Pizzazz Marker to color in the leaves on the green basket image stamped on the large white rectangle.
Use the fine tip of the Powder Pink Marker to color in the three little hearts on the tag.
Adhere the strip of designer paper to the bottom of the stamped and colored, large white rectangle. It will cover the bottom of the stamped Pear Pizzazz basket.
Lay the large piece of colored ribbon across the cardstock and designer paper so it is even with the top of the designer paper layer. Flip the designer paper/cardstock over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add more SNAIL to the back of the cardstock. Adhere it to the front of the Powder Pink card.
Use Paper Snips to carefully cut out the Crumb Cake basket. Don't worry about cutting out the greenery or being terrible precise with the flowers. To cut out the area inside the handle, place the stamped image on the Stampin' Pierce Mat and poke a hole in the center of the area using the Paper Snips. Cut from that hole to the edges of the handle.
Use Fine-Tip Glue Pen on the back of the handle and SNAIL on the base of the basket and adhere the cut out Crumb Cake basket over the top of the stamped and colored Pear Pizzazz basket. The bottom of the Crumb Cake basket will overlap the ribbon.
Place the Powder Pink basket portion on top of some Grid Paper to protect your work surface.
Rub a Sponge Dauber across the open Powder Pink Ink Pad to get it inky. Rub a little of the ink off onto the Grid Paper. Then, add color to the flowers in the Powder Pink basket portion by lightly rubbing across them with the inky Sponge Dauber. Get more ink on the dauber as needed. Keep adding ink until you have the color saturation you want.
Tip: I just clean my Sponge Daubers when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Use Paper Snips to cut out the flowers.
Adhere the cut out flowers over the top of the flowers in the Crumb Cake basket.
If desired, use the fine tip of the Pear Pizzazz Marker to color in any greenery on the basket handle or flowers.
Slide one end of the small piece of colored ribbon under the ribbon on the card front near the right side of the basket. Tie it in place with a half knot. Trim the ends.
