his new stamp set is from the January - June 2022 Mini Catalogue. If you don't currently have one, nor have a Canadian Demonstrator, please let me know and I'll be happy to make sure you get your hands on any of the currently catalogues.
This card is super simple to make. All you need is
3 pieces of Basic White - 4 x 5-1/4, 3 x 4-1/4 and 2 x 3-1/4
3 pieces of Old Olive - 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, scored at 4-1/4, 3-1/4 x 4-1/2, and 2-1/4 x 3-1/2
First, you're going to layer all three pieces of the Basic White, centred, largest on the bottom, to smallest on the top, using a repositionable tape or a very little bit of tape runner, so they don't shift when you're stamping. Then, stamp the largest of the floral stamps centred on all three layers. I used the Stamparatus, so that I could restamp it, if I had to - which, I did on a couple of them. I typically make more than one of the same card at a time.
Using the Stamparatus really sped up my process, and I was able to stamp 10 cards in a matter of minutes.
Without taking the three layers apart, colour your flowers to your liking. I used Stampin' Blends in Old Olive, Balmy Blue, Night of Navy, Mango Melody and So saffron. Obviously, you can choose your favourite colours.
Now you can layer your Basic White pieces onto the Old Olive mat pieces, to create the front of your card. Note - make sure your layers are facing the right way when you layer (ask me how I know), so that the floral parts line up. I embellished with a few of the new Iridescent Rhinestones and some Wink of Stella on the yellow florals. For the sentiment, I used the Happy Birthday from the Calming Camellia, which is a Host stamp set from the current Sale-a-bration. I stamped with Versamark and used White embossing powder, then trimmed the banner close to the sentiment.
