A simple technique to try out. The photo doesn't do it justice really, the Wink of Stella doesn't show up but trust me it does look very pretty with that shimmery coating.
Project Recipe
Whisper White Thick Card base 25cm x 12.5cm
scored at 12.5cm
Have a Cuppa Designer Series Paper cut at 12.5cm x 12.5cm.
Adhered to front of card
Cut a piece of Whisper White card 10.5cm x 10.5cm
Cut a piece of Crumb Cake Card 10cm x 10cm
Decorate corners of he Whisper White and Crumb Cake cards using the Curvy Corner Trio Punch
Using the Crumb Cake Card, Wipe over your card with the Embossing Buddy. Stamp the flower from Birthday Blooms using versa mark ink and then sprinkle with black embossing powder. Tap off excess powder. Using a heat gun melt the powder.
Fill an Aqua Painter filled with bleach. Using this pen start going over the inside of the stamped image. Dry off completely using your heat gun if not already dry. You can also use a paint brush to apply the bleach if you don't have an aqua painter. I've been told to always use fresh bleach, as it does go off and will change the result, apparently.
Using your Stamp Write Markers colour the image to your liking. I used a So Saffron wash then to add a bit of contrast Crushed Curry for the flower centre and darker areas. Pear Pizzazz for the leaves and for a little darker some Wild Wasabi.
Wipe over your card with the Embossing Buddy. Stamp a sentiment on some Whisper White I used 'just because' from A Dozen Thoughts, stamped in versa mark and then heat embossed in black embossing powder. Cut it out or use a die of your choice. It's your birthday' from Endless Birthday Wishes is stamped directly below the flower in the bottom area on the crumb cake in Basic Black Archival Ink.
Adhere the layers using tombow or adhesive of your choice. Adhere the sentiment and decorate with a cooured dot to match the ink you used. I used a yellow one from Its My Party Enamel Dots
Stamp the inside of your card, I used the smaller single flower from Birthday Blooms and do the same on your envelope to match. I just coloured the centres of the flowers.
Using Wink of Stella Clear go over your flower to give a beautiful glimmer sheen
