Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Calypso Coral Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Night of Navy Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of dashed pale pink lines on coral background design from Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper
- 2" x 4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2" x 2-1/2" of dotted white floral lines on dark blue background design from Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper
- 1" x 2-1/2" of dashed pale pink lines on coral background design from Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper
- 1-1/4" x 3-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
Make sure you have some Grid Paper on your work surface to protect it from ink.
Mount the single flower on a stem with leaves image from the Birthday Blooms Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Basic Black Archival Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the small strip of white cardstock so you get the top of the flower. Re-ink the stamp and stamp it on the other end of the strip so you get the flower. Set aside to let dry.
Adhere the large rectangle of coral Delightful Daisy Designer Paper to the Night of Navy rectangle.
Cut a 4-1/2" piece of Night of Navy 5/8" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the designer paper and cardstock piece about 1/2" from the top. Flip the designer paper/cardstock over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add more SNAIL to the back of the cardstock. Adhere it to the front of the Calypso Coral card.
Unlock the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. Insert the strip of Whisper White Cardstock into the punch as far as it will go. Punch.
WITHOUT adhering anything, lay the smaller pieces of designer paper across the bottom of the tag at an angle so the dark blue paper overlaps the bottom of the coral paper.
Mount the "for you" sentiment from the Birthday Blooms Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Night of Navy Ink Pad. Stamp it at an angle in the center of the tag just above the strips of designer paper.
Now, adhere the strips of designer paper to the bottom of the stamped tag at the same angles. Use Paper Snips to trim off excess designer paper on the sides and bottom of the tag.
Cut a 6" piece of Linen Thread.
Fold the Linen Thread in half. Poke the folded end of the thread through the hole in the top of the tag. Feed the loose ends of the thread through the loop formed by the fold. Pull it tight, but be careful not to tear the top of the tag.
Use the loose ends of the Linen Thread to tie the tag to the front of the card by tying it to the ribbon already on the card front in the center. Use a knot to tie the Linen Thread. Trim the ends of the Linen Thread very short.
Cut a 4" piece of Night of Navy 5/8" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon. Tie a half knot in the center. Trim the ends. Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon to the card front so it covers the ends of the Linen Thread at a slight angle at the top of the tag.
Pick out one of the Peekaboo Peach x shapes from the 2016-2018 In Color Glitter Acrylic Shapes. Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere it to the tag over the tail of the "r" in the word "for."
Squeeze the lid of the Calypso Coral Ink Pad to get a pool of ink in the lid. Open the pad but leave the lid exposed. Fill an Aqua Painter with water and squeeze a bit of water into the pad lid. Use the brush tip of the Aqua Painter to mix the water into the ink. Then, paint over the flower images on the small piece of white cardstock. Add more color as needed. Set aside to let dry. Scribble on Grid Paper to clean the tip of the Aqua Painter until no more color is coming off.
When the flowers are dry, cut them out by hand using Paper Snips.
Adhere one flower to the top of the tag using SNAIL. Adhere the other flower to the top of the tag so it overlaps the first using a Stampin' Dimensional.
