T hese birds are so gorgeous!!! I coloured a pearl with a black permanent marker I had and was intrigued to see that it turned out a lovely rich brown.
Project Recipe
After embossing using the Woodland embossing folder, I inked up my brayer with crumb cake ink and without putting ANY pressure on the brayer I rolled it across the embossed image. If any pressure at all is placed on the brayer, the ink ends up between the branches where I didn't want it to go. Trust me, I know!!
Emboss the bird and branch from Best Birds stamp set with copper embossing powder. Colour in bird using markers - I used Peekaboo Peach, Watermelon Wonder, Early Espresso, Basic Grey and Sahara Sand.
Using Botanical Builder framelits, cut out 5 leaves. Stamp leaf images with early espresso ink and using early espresso marker colour around the edge of each leaf.
Trim cucumber crush cardstock at an angle and stamp sentiment in the bottom right corner.
Attach whisper white embossed cardstock to front of card and attach cucumber green piece on top.
Glue embossed branch on card and arrange the leaves on top. attach bird with dimensionals.
Colour pearl with black permanent marker and when dry place onto bird.
