Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from matching color of cardstock to the designer paper you used at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic Black Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from matching color of cardstock to the designer paper you used
- 1-3/4" x 5-1/8" of non-floral pattern design from Flowering Zinnias 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 2" x 4-1/2" from Basic Black Cardstock
- 1-7/8" x 4-3/8" from Adhesive Sheets
- 1-1/4"x 3-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
Insert the 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" cardstock rectangle into the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Adhere the dry embossed cardstock rectangle to the center of the 4" x 5-1/4" black rectangle and then to the front of the card.
Adhere the strip of Flowering Zinnias Designer Paper to the front of the card so it is centered over the dry embossed cardstock layer.
If you didn't keep the "spells" rectangle from the boxes project, then peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets rectangle. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets rectangle to one side of the remaining Basic Black rectangle. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the two "s," two "l," "p," and "e" dies from the Alphabet A La Mode Dies. Put them on top of the Basic Black retangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so they spell out the word "spells" and the Basic Black side is face up. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Remove the protective backing from the "spells" rectangle and adhere it to the front of the card so it is centered over the designer paper strip. Remove the protective backing from the center of the "p" and adhere it in place.
As you are ready to stamp using the Bird's Eye View Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the small bird looking straight ahead with the right wing showing image from the Bird's Eye View Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the white strip.
Mount the stack of books image from the Bird's Eye View Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it on the other end of the white strip.
Place the stamped bird and stack of books images on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Stampin' Blends to color in the bird and stack of books images as desired.
Cut out the colored bird and stack of books images by hand using Paper Snips Scissors.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the colored bird and stack of books cut outs to the front of the card as shown.
