S imple Christmas card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Old Olive Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Real Red Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Whisper White Cardstock
Use the brush tip of the Old Olive Marker to color in the indented areas on the inside of the front flap (the flap with the logos and line on it) of the Seasonal Wreath Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.
Spritz the inside of the colored folder flap with water.
Tip: An old Stampin' Mist bottle filled with water works great.
Insert the Whisper White rectangle into the folder so it is just barely above the fold in the folder and is centered side to side.
Place the folder with the cardstock inside directly on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place a Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
VERY IMPORTANT: You are using only ONE Cutting Pad. If you try to use two, the sandwich will be too thick and you could damage the Big Shot.
Set the cardstock aside to dry thoroughly. Once dry, proceed to the next step.
Tip: You can speed up drying using a Heat Tool if you wish.
Mount the "Merry Christmas" sentiment from the Better Together Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp on the bottom of the dry embossed white rectangle so it is centered under the wreath.
Adhere the stamped and dry embossed white rectangle to the Real Red rectangle and then to the front of the Old Olive card.
Tip: Since the cardstock did get wet, use a lot of SNAIL particularly around the edges of the white layer to make sure it stays flat.
Carefully peel up 5 Soft Sea Foam sequins from a sheet of Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere three in a tight group on the bottom right side of the wreath. Adhere the other two randomly around the wreath.
Cut a 4" piece of Real Red 3/8" Mixed Satin Ribbon.
Tie in a half knot in the center. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere to the wreath on the card front.
