L earn a new technique on how to create a Bokeh background
Project Recipe
Using a Sponge Dauber and the lighter color ink - Marina Mist, rub in circle motion on the 4" x 5.25" Whisper White cardstock randomly leaving white space for the 2nd color. Repeat this with the darker color ink - Rich Razzleberry until the desired amount is covered.
Let sponge daubed cardstock dry for a few minutes.
Using the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine and 3 different circles from the Circle Collections Framelits, cut out circles from the piece of Window Sheet.
Using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool, score the 4.25" x 11" Marina Mist cardstock at the 5.5" mark.
Using the Window Sheet circle template, Whisper White Craft Ink and a Sponge dauber, create circles in lighter and darker in varying sizes all over the cardstock to create the Bokeh (blurred) look. Set aside and let dry.
Using the Best Day Ever stamp set, stamp the dots background in Marina Mist ink (stamped off so it is lighter) on the Whisper White cardstock. Then stamp the 'You Made my Day' sentiment on top in Rich Razzleberry ink.
Using the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine and the Circle Collections Framelits, cut out the sentiment and then 2 smaller circles in Rich Razzleberry and Marina Mist cardstock.
Using the Best Day Ever stamp set, stamp the 'Best Day Ever' sentiment in Rich Razzleberry ink on the other 4" x 5.25" Whisper White cardstock and adhere to the inside of the card base.
Adhere the Bokeh background cardstock to the Marina Mist card base (it should be dry by now).
Adhere the circles overlapping each other with Stampin' Dimensionals to the bottom right corner of the card front.
