Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, vellum, and Masking Paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Petal Pink Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Mint Macaron Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of small pink flowers and hearts and green leaves on gray background design from Country Floral Lane 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/4" x 3-7/8" from Petal Pink Cardstock
- 2-1/8" x 3-7/8" of blocks of white cursive text design from Vellum 12" x 12" Layering Designs
- 2-1/2" x 3-3/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1" x 4-1/2" from Masking Paper
Put the vellum on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface.
Rub a Small Blending Brush across the open Petal Pink Ink Pad to get it inky. Rub the inky Blending Brush all over the back of the vellum rectangle. Get more ink on the Blending Brush as needed.
Note: By adding ink to the back of the vellum, you make the white pattern show up better.
Tip: I just clean my Blending Brushes when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Adhere the inked vellum rectangle to the center of the Petal Pink rectangle. The top and bottom edges will be even.
Adhere the matted vellum to the left side of the horizontal Country Floral Lane Designer Paper rectangle so there is about 1/2" of designer paper showing on the left side. The top and bottom edges will be even.
Adhere the piece of designer paper with the matted vellum attached to the center of the Mint Macaron rectangle.
Adhere the matted designer paper to the front of the Petal Pink card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Beautifully Happy Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Beautifully Happy Set to Block G. Ink it up with the Mossy Meadow Ink Pad. Stamp it in the upper right corner of the horizontal white rectangle, but be sure to leave room to cut it out.
Pick out the large rectangle with notched corners die from the Painted Labels Dies. Put it on top of the sentiment stamped white rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment is in the upper right corner. Run through the machine.
Mount the outline, single flower on a stem image from the Beautifully Happy Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Mossy Meadow Ink Pad. Stamp it three times around the sentiment on the label cut out as shown. Let some of the stems go off the edges. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the outline, single flower on a stem image on Block B with the Mossy Meadow Ink Pad. Stamp it three times on the Masking Paper strip so you get the flower each time. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
Mount the solid single flower image from the Beautifully Happy Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Petal Pink Ink Pad. Stamp it inside each of the flowers previously stamped on the sentiment label cut out. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
Mount the tiny stamen image from the Beautifully Happy Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Mint Macaron Ink Pad. Stamp it inside each of the flowers previously stamped on the sentiment label cut out filling in the stamens. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
Mount the tiny solid bud and bracket image from the Beautifully Happy Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Mint Macaron Ink Pad. Stamp it inside each of the buds and brackets on the stems previously stamped on the sentiment label cut out. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out the flowers only on the images stamped on the Masking Paper. Cut just inside the stamped lines.
Place the cut out Masking Paper flowers over the previously stamped flowers on the sentiment label cut out.
Rub a Small Blending Brush across the open Mint Macaron Ink Pad to get it inky. Lightly rub the inky Blending Brush all around the flowers on the sentiment label cut out. Get more ink on the Blending Brush as needed.
Tip: I just clean my Blending Brushes when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Carefully remove the Masking Paper flowers from the blended sentiment label cut out.
Tip: Stick the Masking Paper flower cut outs inside the stamp case to use again on future projects.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the stamped and blended sentiment label cut out to the front of the card as shown.
Cut a 4-1/2" piece of the Soft Succulent 1/2" Satin Shimmer Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card at a slight angle so the knot is centered in the notch on the lower left side of the sentiment label cut out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up one small and two large Petal Pink sequins from the sheet of Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the front of the card as shown.
